I removed the two screws holding it in place,Then pulled it out so
i could remove the two wires , then connected the new unit. Replaced it in the oven wall.
Turned the oven on and it worked like a new one.

as you explained in the e.g.
it was the easiest thing to do for my husband, and in 10 minutes I was able to bake again.

Removed two screws that held the element flange onto the back of the oven, then two more little screws that held the element tips to the wires in back. Installed in the reverse sequence in about 10 minutes. A whole lot cheaper than calling a repairman! Thanks, the PartSelect customer service lady was a great help in getting me the right part for a 20 year old oven too.

First, I turned of breaker for the appliance. Removed two hex head (1/4") screws that hold element in place at back of oven. Gently pulled element exposing wires connected at base of element by hex head screws. Removed the screws and olf elelemt, placed new element in place, tightened screws, inserted into base and tightned screws for plate that holds element. After turning on the breaker, I set the oven to a low temp so I could feel the heat without burning my hand and was satisfied that the element worked.

Ordered the part on Fri. AM and it arrived Sat. PM! Could not believe how quickly it arrived. Husband replaced the old element and I am baking again! Thank you.

Turned power off to oven. Unscrewed back plate exposing wires connected to heating element. It was difficult to unscrew the connections between them as it was hard to reach in because the oven door was in the way, but i finally succeeded. Unscrewed the bracket holding the burned out element and then attached the wires to the new element. Attached the bracket and I turned on the power. I then tested the oven and it worked.

Toughest chore was to find a tool to remove the two hex screws that held the element to the back of the oven. Once I found the proper tool, the rest was easy. Pulled the circuit breaker, removed the two hex screws, disconnected the two electrical leads and put the new part in and did everything in reverse. Probably saved over $100 doing it myself.

Removed the two screws that held the element in place. Pulled the unit out a few inches to get at the bolted wires. The hard part is reaching in the oven using bifocal lenses and trying to block out the oven light. Getting past that obstacle, the rest went very well.

My Husband did the repair while I wasn't home. He didn't bother to shut off the power even though he should have. He didn't electicute himself or burn down the house and the oven works great so I guess it was a success!

Removed the two screws that held the element in place. This required the use of a socket wrench. Removed the screws that were attached to the lead wires. The screws were of the sheet metal type.
Once the new element was in place I did have some difficulty attaching the screws to the lead wires. The reason for this was because the screws that came with the new element were threaded and I had a hard time getting the screws started because of the small size and the limited amount of slack from the lead wires. A magnetic screw driver would have made the job much easier.

Removed the coverplate screws, slid the element outward, and removed the wire connecting screws. Positioned the new element to reconnect the wires, and discovered this isn't easy to see with trifocals. Succeeded after several failed attempts. Slid the new element into position, and reattached the cover plate.

First I Shut off the breaker from the fuse box
Tried to turn oven on to make sure I tripped the correct breaker
Removed element from back wall of oven by removing 2 screws using a socket set
Gently pull out element a few inches and then unscrew 2 wires from the bake element using a phillips screwdriver
Replace old element with the new one
Screw wires to element
Attach new element to back wall of oven making sure the rectagular hole is totally covered and the element is flush against the back wall
Replace screws attaching baking element to back of oven wall
Turn on breakers and test the oven

I have to admit that I tried to remove the element myself but I did not have the right tool for the last two screws. If I did it would have been very easy. I ordered the part and had someone else put it in so I cheated.

On thanksgiving day, as we were pre-heating the oven, electric sizzle, sparks and a little flame comes from our 24 year old oven. We were able to get dinner on the table and that evening I went looking for what I thought was going to be a difficult to find part. But I found the part on partselect. I ordered that evening and got it on saturday. Installation was a snap. The most difficult part was the nuts holding the wires were stuck on from time and heat and I worried about the wire from the small plate to the coil might break. A little wd-40 and a few minutes and they popped right off and right back on. Works great now.

I read your website repair testimonials by previous customers and used that advise to do the job. I liked the suggestion to use something to attach to the unattached wires so they don't slip back into the unit. I used two clothespins. I had one stubborn electrical connection to disconnect so it took a little longer -about 30 minutes. But it was a simple job to do and my oven works fine again. The item was delivered timely from the order date and packaged well. Thank-you!
