Replace Broiler Element
After an exhaustive search of local oven dealers and big box stores, I could not find a broiler element for my aged GE stove. I did find it online at Parts Select for about 1/3 the cost from GE online parts.
Replacement was easy-- just as described in posts for this part. The 'hardest' job was getting the screws started that hold the wires to the element-- small screws and small holes-- but just required some patience. A simple, inexpensive repair that avoided my having to replace the entire stove. Thanks!

Broiler Element burned out.
The replacement was straightforward, six screws. Instructions were provided with the part along with the necessary screws to fit the new element terminals.
Open the breaker, verify power is off, remove the old burner. Install the new burner and mounting bracket. Restore power and test. In and out in less then thirty minutes.

Blown Broiler Element
Removed 3 screws from cover {center of back side of oven}, removed 2 screws from wires connected to element, then removed 2 screws mounting element
{inside oven}, pulled it & replaced it.

broil element had a "burn through", w/n turn on
less than 15 minutes R2 the part, ops ck'd good. 4ea 1/4" screw/nuts, they didn't fight me...

both oven and broiler coils were burnt out

top element in oven was broken ,not working
Removed 4 screws and removed the old element and replaced in the reverse order.

broiler element wa burned out
I shut down the electric to the oven at the circuit breaker. Then i loosened the mounting screws and pulled the element from the back wall of oven. Then i disconnected the two leads to the element with a phillips screwdriver and removed element. Installation was done in reverse order.

Replaced Oven Broiler Element
Removed old, burned out element, and replaced with a new element. The worst part of the entire job was getting the oven door assembled back on to the oven.

Element burned out and started to deform
disconnected power
remove oven racks and oven bake shields
removed two bolts from end bracket plate on element
carefully pull bake element partly out until the electrical wires are visible, remove two small screws, remember the side of element each wire
attaches, red is power black is ground.
, replaced new element in reverse order, reattach wires to element and snug tighten , not over tighten. Element worked
like new.

The bake element started to crack and open in several areas.It was just a matter of time before it would of broken in half.
Turn the power of to the stove used a 5/16 socked and unscrewed the element from the stove. Used the socket to remove the wires from the element. Installation was easy make sure you hold the end of the elements where the wires attach so they do not bend when tightening. Everything is working and back to normal. Make sure you use the model number to get the correct part needed.Part select was the best and delivery was with in 5 days.

The oven coil burnt out visibly sparking at the failure point on the coil
This model has a top oven and a bottom. The repair was to the top oven. I shut off the electricity to the oven at the circuit breaker box.I removed the grates and unscrewed the two screws holding the burner in place. I gently pulled the burner free along with its two attached wires. I removed the two screws that retained the connections to the burner. I installed the new burner in the reverse order. Turn on the circuit. Good to go.

Upper Oven Lower Element Burned Out
Took off the oven liners, took out 2 retaining screws, pulled out element, removed wires, reversed procedure, easy

Broiler Element burned out
From inside the oven after turning off the breaker I removed all of the mounting screws with a nutdriver, I removed the wire screws after taping all of the wires together with a small piece of tape to prevent them from falling back into the opening. I installed the wires with the original screws as the provided screws would not fit the holes, tightened them, removed the tape and placed the element back into the opening. I then tightened the hanging brackets, after getting them to align and then tightened the rear mounting bracket. It did help to adjust the baking rack down and leave the baking rack in place to have a place to rest my arms. The install then became a piece of cake!

The Upper oven the lower element went out.
Unscrewed the prongs to the old element. When the new element showed up I put the new element back in again. Had no problem with the replacement and my oven works great.
