broil element had a "burn through", w/n turn on

Old trim rings were rusted and soiled
Too easy to describe. Just lifted out the old rings and popped in the new ones. Old and corrosive due to age
After receiving parts, was getting rims unpackaged and removing the old rims, then and installing the new ones. Extremely easy to do. No tools needed

I needed new trim rings around the stove burners
I logged into GE's website, put in my stovetop's requirements for size and type of trim rings, and was taken to partselect's site where I found what I needed. I ordered it and it came in less than a week!

Replaced Oven Broiler Element
Removed old, burned out element, and replaced with a new element. The worst part of the entire job was getting the oven door assembled back on to the oven.

removed old element rewired new element,turned back on power

Element burned out and started to deform
disconnected power
remove oven racks and oven bake shields
removed two bolts from end bracket plate on element
carefully pull bake element partly out until the electrical wires are visible, remove two small screws, remember the side of element each wire
attaches, red is power black is ground.
, replaced new element in reverse order, reattach wires to element and snug tighten , not over tighten. Element worked
like new.

The bake element started to crack and open in several areas.It was just a matter of time before it would of broken in half.
Turn the power of to the stove used a 5/16 socked and unscrewed the element from the stove. Used the socket to remove the wires from the element. Installation was easy make sure you hold the end of the elements where the wires attach so they do not bend when tightening. Everything is working and back to normal. Make sure you use the model number to get the correct part needed.Part select was the best and delivery was with in 5 days.

The Upper oven the lower element went out.
Unscrewed the prongs to the old element. When the new element showed up I put the new element back in again. Had no problem with the replacement and my oven works great.

Upper Oven Lower Element Burned Out
Took off the oven liners, took out 2 retaining screws, pulled out element, removed wires, reversed procedure, easy

Broiler Element burned out
From inside the oven after turning off the breaker I removed all of the mounting screws with a nutdriver, I removed the wire screws after taping all of the wires together with a small piece of tape to prevent them from falling back into the opening. I installed the wires with the original screws as the provided screws would not fit the holes, tightened them, removed the tape and placed the element back into the opening. I then tightened the hanging brackets, after getting them to align and then tightened the rear mounting bracket. It did help to adjust the baking rack down and leave the baking rack in place to have a place to rest my arms. The install then became a piece of cake!

The oven coil burnt out visibly sparking at the failure point on the coil
This model has a top oven and a bottom. The repair was to the top oven. I shut off the electricity to the oven at the circuit breaker box.I removed the grates and unscrewed the two screws holding the burner in place. I gently pulled the burner free along with its two attached wires. I removed the two screws that retained the connections to the burner. I installed the new burner in the reverse order. Turn on the circuit. Good to go.

Broil Element Stopped Heating
The broil element was easy to replace. Start by either unplugging the unit from the wall or turning the circuit breaker off. I started by removing the two screws that hold it in the back. There was a support bar attached to the top with two screws also. After removing all screws, gently pull the element forward exposing the two wires. Make note of which wire goes to which terminal. I also clipped a clothes pin to each wire to prevent them from falling back through the hole. Disconnect the two wires and reconnect to the new element. Reattach all screws and you're done.

Broil Element burned out
Removed old element, checked continuity and element was bad, Fit new element and everything was good. No problem except my arms were not long enough!! Repairs took about 15 minutes.
