Piece of cake. 2 screws and a flashlight. I needed needle nose pliers to insert the "plugs" into the "sockets."

orderd a replacement part. recieved it two days later then that evening installed it. there was a video online to show how to replace it. very useful if your not a do it yourselfer.

I went on-line, found Partselect.com, they gave me the part number, showed me a video on the repair details, shipped the part overnight, and within ten minutes of the arrival of the part, I was up and running. EXCELLENT SERVICE! Thanks for saving Christmas at our house!!

You literally saved our Christmas from a disaster! Four days before Christmas our bake element gave out and we discovered it had split. We found you on the Internet, ordered the part, and prayed you would deliver as promised. We received it the next day, as promised, and in time to cook Christmas dinner. Removed nuts holding element to rear of oven using nut driver, pulled wires out 3 inches and disconnected using needle nose pliers, installed new element. Job took 10 minutes - very easy job and works fine.

the part arrived in two days. Just had to remove the old one and pop in the new one and it was that easy. I was amazed at how soon the part was delivered and happy to have a working burner again.

Since it was a plug-in burner, only needed to pull it out and put the other one in.

Another thing I would like to say is that I was very well pleased with the service from partselect.com. I was unable to find the burners in my area.
Was very helpful in selecting the part and was very efficient in sending it.

After finding the correct Y-frame, inches and watts in a surface burner, it was easy to just slide in the slots. Tested, and it was perfect. Now it makes all of the other burners look bad. Thanks. Your site was the only one, that I was sure I had the correct part.

Simply removed new burner from box and plugged it in! Very pleased with 3 day speedy delivery. Confident my 32 year old cooktop will continue to give many more years of service with any parts needed from PartSelect.

I read the "easy to repair" story after I ordered my part and I felt like I coud do this on my own. (Female not much experience in repairs) I shut off circuit breaker...proceeded to take out element...could not get it to easiler come off...so I made the mistake of cutting the wire because it looked like that's what I needed to do. WORD TO THE WISE...there are clamps that actually pull off the element..just need to pull a little. So my "easy" project was made more difficult because I didn't know this up front. Otherwise it would have been a breeze. I had to go to the hardware store and but new clamps and attach to the cut wire. Good news is my oven is now working and Parts.com was fast, cheaper than the GE parts place and great service.

Turned off circuit breaker for Range. Removed the 2 screws holding element and pulled wires attached to the element through holes. Disconnected the wires and attached new element. Had problem with one wire springing back into hole used paper clip to fish it back out of hole and then connected 2nd wire to heating element. Turned breaker back on and tested. Baked a cake. MMMMMMMM.

Removed the two screws and pulled out the bake element. Then plugged in the new element and replaced the screw. Easy

the only challenging thing realizing that the screws in the back weren't for a screw driver, they were for a very small wrench. Since I didn't have such a tool, I just used vice grips. It all went well though. The oven currently heats to 400 degrees in 7.5 min. I am quite happy.

Simply turned off the power (circuit box). Unscrewed the screws holding the element in place and detached the element from the wires. Replaced with the new element and replaced the screws. Turned the power back on. Easy as pie and saved lots of $$!
