JK25002 General Electric Range - Instructions

Tried contacting GE and no luck, they did not have vintage parts. After searching and locating Partselect, I was able to see a pic of the actual replacement part. I wasn't sure about purchasing online (1st timer) but decided to go for it!

I was able to track the package, although FedEX was setup to deliver to my resdient, I had the package addressed to my office but we worked that out also and walla.

I was very please and now I can bake my famous Pot Roast again. The oven was not working for 8 mos.

First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires. I reattached them to the new element screwed it back in place and I was done. Could not have been easier! Getting the right replacement part the next day after placing the order was a pleasant surprise. This is the second time I used your company and I am very impressed with your service. I ordered the bake element on Monday and received it on Wednesday. Great delivery.

First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires...
Then I installed the new element using the steps above in reverse. Very clean and simple. One tip though...open your oven door slightly to the detent and pull straight up. The door slips off easily and allows easy access to the bake element screws.

Turn off the breaker. Unscrew the element. Remove and replace with new element. Screw it back into place. Turn on the breaker.

That simple, that easy.

I reconnected the two wires to the new element and screwed the new element to the wall of the oven where the element was held in place.

First removed screws then removed burned out element.Replaced with new element and replaced screws and cooked pizza.

Repair was easy.
Note: the element leads have a potential across them,
so unplug the unit or you'll have an arc strike.

The prices were reasonable.

The part came next day, which was a surprise.
Removal and Installation was 4 screws.
I have become a DIY hero.

Only downside was going out for dinner every night ended.

Replacing the part was fairly simple. Do not forget to dis-connect the element from the back.

The delivery of the part was within 3 days.I only had to connect the two screws had biscuits that night.

Piece of cake to repair. I took both both heating elements off. I sprayed oven cleaner everywhere to soften the grime. I waited 10 minutes and wiped up the softened baking grime. Installation took 5 minutes for each element and about 15 minutes to clean the oven while both elements were removed.

I remove the back plate, pull out the wires, and unscrew the screws and put the new part. The problem that I had was reaching to the back of the oven to remove the screws. Other than that it was very simple.

removed 2 nuts holding the element in the oven. removed 2 screws that secured the wires to the element. installed the new element in reverse.

First, I turned of breaker for the appliance. Removed two hex head (1/4") screws that hold element in place at back of oven. Gently pulled element exposing wires connected at base of element by hex head screws. Removed the screws and olf elelemt, placed new element in place, tightened screws, inserted into base and tightned screws for plate that holds element. After turning on the breaker, I set the oven to a low temp so I could feel the heat without burning my hand and was satisfied that the element worked.

Removed two screws that held the element flange onto the back of the oven, then two more little screws that held the element tips to the wires in back. Installed in the reverse sequence in about 10 minutes. A whole lot cheaper than calling a repairman!
