Removed element. Ordered new one. Installed it.

Turn off the breaker feeding the oven. Remove the 3 screws from under the control panel, lift the panel off and lean the top toward you. Take pictures of the wiring layout from every angle, at least 6. Carefully remove the wires and ribbon cable from the existing control board. Use a phillips screwdriver to remove the 4 screw holding the control board to the back of the control panel. Install the new board, replace the 4 phillips screws. Attach the wires to the new board where they were removed from on the old one, check to make sure they are in the right place by referencing the pictures you took before the original was removed. Check everything again, check everything again... Reinstall the control panel turn on the breaker and bake!

Removed old element with a socket wrench. Replaced new element with socket wrench. Pretty easy!

Before you get started on this be sure that you already have the Bottom Cabinet Trim Assembly (item #PS952490) either ordered or installed. We were not aware that you had to order both trim items separately which meant we had to remove the oven door twice. Using the screwdriver to pull back the door tabs, we first removed the oven door. The trim installed very easy. We just lined up the holes, pushed in, and then down on the trim to lock it in place. When reinstalling the oven door, be sure that door latches are almost fully extended before reinserting them into their slots.

basically unscrew two screws, unplug, plug new one in and screw the screws back in.

First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires. I plugged in the new element and proceeded to clean the oven which is what I was doing when the problem occured.

Turned the wire protector to the side. Turned out the old bulb and replaced it with the new. Turned the wire protector back in place and I'm like new.

Turned off the circuit breaker. Removed 5 screws. Unplugged the heating element and then plugged in the new one and replaced the 5 screws. Very simple.

Replaced the Oven light housing. Unscrewed the two screws that hold the housing in place. Pulled out the housing and disconnected the wire tabs from the light housing tabs. Slid the wire tabs onto the tabs of the new light housing fixture. (Each tab is fitted to the tab in goes on so they can not be mixed up) Pushed the housing fixture back into place and screwed the housing into place.

I was attempting to replace the broiler element on the oven, but I discovered that the wiring may be the actual problem. I suggest before you order parts for a broiler repair, that you test the wires to ensure that you have continuity. I will have to trace the wires back to the source (the other element works fine) and see if I can find the problem with the current. I will keep the broiler element I ordered until I can confirm that the old element works.

The repair was very simple. In fact the biggest challenge was finding the correct socket set.

This was a wall mounted oven. Turned off breaker. Pulled panel off by removing 6 screws. Pulled connectors off old switch. Removed old switch. Just a friction fit. I used my jack knife to get it moving. Pushed in the new switch and connected wires. (just push on tabs) Put panel back together and turned on breaker. Done, easy.

Took about 15 minutes to take the old one off and put the new one on. Not difficult at all.

pull out defective seal with pliers clean area and press new seal into place making sure the spring clips on seal are completely inserted into door slots push ends of seal into holes in bottom of door
