I read your website repair testimonials by previous customers and used that advise to do the job. I liked the suggestion to use something to attach to the unattached wires so they don't slip back into the unit. I used two clothespins. I had one stubborn electrical connection to disconnect so it took a little longer -about 30 minutes. But it was a simple job to do and my oven works fine again. The item was delivered timely from the order date and packaged well. Thank-you!

shut off circuitbreaker.removed two screws.kind of hard since screws were 25 years old and were tight.then i removed the oven door and pulled out the elementout and removed two more screws that held the wires to the element,then removed the element and replaced the new one and screwed it to the wires and thenthe next two screws that held the element in place. turn on the circuitbreaker and it was a miracle it got hot!

I (a woman) unplugged the stove, took out the screws, and unhooked the baking element. I then replaced the old screws with the newer ones, and made sure everything was nice and tight. I was a little nervous at first but everything turned out okay. I plugged the stove back up & the baking element was a bright orange and it works better than ever. The whole process took about 15-20 minutes.

Turned breaker off to oven. Removed 2 screws from burned out element in back of oven and pulled it out. Installed new element and tightened the two screws. Very easy.

My oven is 31 years old so was suprised I could still get parts.

Unscrewed the broken element from the back of the inside of the oven, then unscrewed the connected wires from the element and did the reverse with the new element. Viola.

Before touching anything, however, I made sure the oven was in the off position and also went to the house circuit breaker box and flipped OFF the appropriate circuit breaker(s). There were two - one for the element and another for the rest of the controls.

When everything was in place, I turned the power back on and turned on the oven and was cooking again. We had Prime Rib for Easter.

My petite 69 yr old wife replace element in about 15 minutes with no problem..Also product arrived within a short time frame and your online instructions were accurate. Thanks

several months ago the bake element in my oven started cracking. When it started sparking I knew I had to replace it or get a new oven. I ordered the part and it was easy. The old one fell apart as I removed it. I honestly don't know how it was still heating. Anyway, all I did was turn off the electric to the oven, then I had to remove to screws that attached it to the wall of the oven. That was the hardest part because I couldn't see them well so I had to put a lantern in the oven. Then I had to pull it out enough to remove the screws from within. Then I just reversed the process to install and everything worked great! Saved me a lot on calling a repair man.

Took out old element with screw driver and replaced new element with screw driver, very simple.
We were so happy with the customer service, had the new element the very next morning. Thank you.

remove two screws from back of oven holding element to back of oven. Pull out gently, remove two screws holding wire connections(power wires) throw away old element. Place new element into oven. Reconnect element to power wires using screws. Push element back into back of oven. Replace screws holding element in place. Turn oven on to check for proper connections.

The removal- replacement problem basically involves the shortness of the connector wires to the terminals. Because the burner is close to the top there is little room to use a screwdriver. The old unit used metal screws. The new came with open threaded holes in the terminals with two threaded screws. Used a small 1/4" ratchet which worked OK, but had to carefully bend the ends of the terminals to allow me to lower the element to an angle that would all room for ratchet action. (All design engineers should first have to work in maintenance before going to drawing board!)

On Thanksgiving Day, we were making a pecan pie. The lower oven started to smoke and flame. We quickly turned off the oven, removed the pie, and noticed that half of the lower burner element had turned into cinders. I copied down the part number and serial number of the oven, went to Google, and found the replacement part that I needed. Once the oven had cooled down, I turned off the circuit braker for the oven and tried to remove the burned out heating element. The good news was that I could remove it with my SAE socket set. I then ordered the part on line, knowing with confidence that I could do the replacement myself.
The part arrived one day after I got the email that the part had shipped. That is great service!
I waited till the next day to do the repair since I needed to have the right tools lined up and I needed to wear clothes that might get dirty when working deep inside the oven. A flashlight and a socket set with a 1/4 inch drive were the main tools I needed to do the electrical connections and the oven connection. I also used a blunt putty knife to clean out some of the goo in the oven.
After the repair, I turned the circuit breaker back on and placed a separate oven thermometer into the oven for the first test. The oven worked just fine at 250, 350, and 450 degree settings. Wife is now happy!

Took the old one out and replaced with the new one. It was just awkward to get at.

New element arrived in a couple of days! We turned off breaker to oven, removed the old one which only involved two screws. Then we had to connect new one and re-attach metal square, only tricky part was getting the metal square positioned correctly but that was really not hard, just made sure insulation was covered and plate went back in same position. If we had called a eepair company it would have taken a week or more and probably been expensive!
