JKP62G2K3 General Electric Range - Instructions

Turned power off to oven. Unscrewed back plate exposing wires connected to heating element. It was difficult to unscrew the connections between them as it was hard to reach in because the oven door was in the way, but i finally succeeded. Unscrewed the bracket holding the burned out element and then attached the wires to the new element. Attached the bracket and I turned on the power. I then tested the oven and it worked.

I removed the two screws holding it in place,Then pulled it out so
i could remove the two wires , then connected the new unit. Replaced it in the oven wall.
Turned the oven on and it worked like a new one.

Removed the two screws that held the element in place. Pulled the unit out a few inches to get at the bolted wires. The hard part is reaching in the oven using bifocal lenses and trying to block out the oven light. Getting past that obstacle, the rest went very well.

Took out old element with screw driver and replaced new element with screw driver, very simple.
We were so happy with the customer service, had the new element the very next morning. Thank you.

shut off circuitbreaker.removed two screws.kind of hard since screws were 25 years old and were tight.then i removed the oven door and pulled out the elementout and removed two more screws that held the wires to the element,then removed the element and replaced the new one and screwed it to the wires and thenthe next two screws that held the element in place. turn on the circuitbreaker and it was a miracle it got hot!

Ordered the part on a Friday afternoon and was shocked to receive the box on Saturday AM! Turned off the power to the unit, unscrewed the screws holding in the old element, and hooked up the new one. We didn't have a socket wrench so we subbed a pliers. So easy & cheap! Seems like everything's breaking around this house & this is the ONLY thing that was easy & cost less than $20! Removed the bad part. There were 4 screws,
Found part on the internet.
When part arrived I installed it using the screws that I removed when I took out the bad part.

Removed the 2 screws that held element in place. Pulled the element out about 2 inches to disconect the wires. I then reattached the new element and replaced the screws holding the element in place.

First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires..Took out the old element and reversed tjhe procedure to install the new one

After an exhaustive search of local oven dealers and big box stores, I could not find a broiler element for my aged GE stove. I did find it online at Parts Select for about 1/3 the cost from GE online parts.

Replacement was easy-- just as described in posts for this part. The 'hardest' job was getting the screws started that hold the wires to the element-- small screws and small holes-- but just required some patience. A simple, inexpensive repair that avoided my having to replace the entire stove. Thanks!

husband said he would call repairman. I found you and ordered part. By the time my husband got around to calling the repairman, I was finished.
Only trouble was getting my hands to work in the small space. The cover plate was not as big as the former unit so I had to muscle it on. BUT, it was a very easy process and we saved tons of money on a repairman and a new oven/micro. THANKS.

Part was in stock, delivered in two day, Wow!!
First shut off power to the oven, the removed the two screws that held the element in place, pulled the old one out and disconnected it and put the other right back in. took less than 1/2 hour.
Very satisfied with product , easy of repair and especially the price and delivery.

took the element screws off, a little bit dificult to fine the small wrench socket to disengage. I had to have my husband do it because I have too short arms.
I can't believe how much money we saved., the part was there within two days and installed, for a total of 52.00 including next day Fed ex.
Feel good about the whole expierence.

Shut the power off to the stove. Removed the screws and pulled the old part out. Replaced with new part from Parts Select.

First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and made sure that there was no power feeding the element. Next I disconnected the two wires that power the element. I then removed the old element and replaced it with the new element. Tightened the screws but had to be careful on the second one and hold with plier as the first one bent a little as it was being tightened. Slid the element back after the connection screws were tightened and tightened the mounting screws. Reenergized and tested. The job went well - easier than expected...
