FEF389WFCG Frigidaire Range - Instructions

My husband had recently moved out of our house so I was very nervous about trying this repair myself but it was actually very easy!!I ordered the part on Monday, it arrived on Wednesday and Wednesday night I was baking dinner in the oven!!

ordered new heating element, arrived promptly as expected, compared new heating element to old one and it matched in size only diameter a little different, removed two sheet metal screws holding element in place and pulled out element to expose conductors and removed them with screwdriver. Installed conductors on new heating element slid into holes and installed screws, turned power back on(first step is to turn off power) turned on oven to preheat and she worked like a new one. I watched your how to video and used my voltmeter to check my baking element. I found it defective and ordered your replacement. 5 or 6 days later it arrived in the mail. I installed it per the video and my wife baked a pizza to try it out. Perfect! Thank you.

Removed old switch, moved the one wire to the same pin on new very cheaply made but expensive made in Mexico switch, replaced switch, pugged range back in too AC, operated new switch, created sparks and smoke. Element now glows to max immediately when turned on. Replaced stove problem gone!

Remove the old one and replaced the new one. It was very simple, fast, and easy.

Repair was so easy, Just remove the two screws one on each end of element slowly pull element towards you till you see the ends. Carefully
unplug the wires and then reinstall the new one and put screwes back in and you are all done

I watched a YouTube video. Than it was easy. I turned the breaker to range off. Took the nuts off. Uncliped the part. Plug new part in. Put screws back in. Flipped on the breaker. And it works wonderfull.

Turn off the power to the range. Remove oven racks. Remove the two screws and slowly pull the element out being careful not to pull the wires off. Remove the two wires then attach them to the new element. Push the element back in place, put the screws back in, turn on the power and turn on oven to make sure the problem is fixed

1.Take no chances. Turn off power at main breaker box (Range). 2 2. 2. 2.Remove inside grills then pull damaged element forward to expose wires and screws. 3. Use nut driver or phillips screwdriver to undo both screws. 4. Remove burnt out element then replace it new one. Make sure both sides are firmly pushed onto the wire terminals before tightening screws. Replace grills. close oven door then turn breaker at breaker box on again.

Easy as removing 2 screws, pulling the wires through the back wall of the oven so I could connect the new element and replacing everything. Honestly, it only took around 8 minutes.

Undid 2 screw nuts holding the element to the back wall, with a 1/4" socket. Pulled off the two wires, pushed them onto the new element. Screwed the two nuts back on the rear wall. Done! Easy, worked 1st try.

unfastened clip at back of oven w/screwdriver. Pulled out the plug, unplugged the element. Plugged in new element, pushed back into place, refastened clip to hold it in place at back of oven.. Done

Just followed the very simple video instructions…it took less than 5 minutes.

really easy unscrew the element from the back of the oven unclip remove old one slide clip on the new one and screw back to back of oven. Took 10 minutes or less

All that was needed was to unscrew two screws holding it to the back of the oven and pull it out to get to the wires. Then unhook the wires and install new one. Less than 2 minutes.
