Aluminium foil fused to the panel
I removed the two back screws, slid out the old panel, then fitted in the new panel (it fit perfectly) and replaced the screws. Five minutes, tops.

melted knobs when I put a pan in the wrong way the door didnt close all the way and the heat melted the knobs
Ordered new knobs. Not an exact match to color but so close only we can tell.
