FFF334FCA Frigidaire Range - Instructions

This was very simple I just snap the part on no tools required. it took less than 2 seconds.

First thing I did was to turn off the range supply breaker. There were two screws, one on each side, that held the lower element into place. I used a phillips head screw driver to remove the screws and pulled the element out for access to the wires. I pulled the connectors off of the element and remove it from the oven. I them put the new element into place, attached the wires, replaced the screws and turned on the breaker. It was an easy fix.

Repair was quite easy, as long as you have the instructions for removing the door. The screws that hold the bottom of the door to the fixed hinge are placed into the side of the hinge assembly after removal; this holds the door at a 45 degree angle for easy removal. After that, just place the door on a flat surface and dismantle the door from the inside. The inner glass is contained in a metal frame with another piece of glass; this frame comes apart easily using the clips in each side. The door assembles easily after the glass is replaced; just take your time and give yourself enough room to lay out the parts as you go. Good luck!

VERY IMPORTANT! kill the circuit breaker to the unit and/or unplugged it! 2 screws hold the ceramic glass top to the lip @ top of oven--remove them and the top can be lifted up to expose all the burner elements and wiring--remove the 2 end screws that hold the retainer bracket for the burners - then remove the 2 screws that hold the burner in question to the bracket-there's also a retainer pin that needs a bit of fussing with to completely free the burner--once totally free remove the wires from the bad unit to the good unit exactly as they are situated --install new unit onto bracket with screws and bracket back to its original location on the ceramic top-put top back down and replace both anchor screws--initiate power back to unit and yeeehahh--You just saved yourself lottsa money from repair bills!!!

FIRST I UNPLUGGED THE GLASS TOP RANGE. While locating the part on the PartSelect diagram I was also able to determine how to access the burned out element. It was very simply to remove three phillips head screws in the front top( above the oven)area of the range, slide the topof the range forwardand lift it up, remove one screw holding the metal bar under the element, replace the element by usinga a pair of pliers to remove the electrical wires and then reversed the process. I saved a tidy amount doing the job myself.

I removed the two element screws, one on each side. This was very easy and fast.
I then pulled the old element towards me about
three inches to expose the wires attached to each
end. The wires have a slide on terminal connector
so replacement is easy, but you must hold the
terminal connected to the wire then pull the element off. Do not try to pull off the element by pulling on the wire you can cause damage to the
wire and create a new problem. Once the old element was removed I attached the wires to the new element by sliding the terminal connectors on each end and pushed them firmly into place. I then pushed the new element back and replaced the screws on each side and the repair was complete.The repair took all of about 5 min. The best part was I received the the new element from Parts Express the next day and had the oven working within 24 hrs.. The repair service could not do it that fast. Do it yourself, you can save a lot of money!!

Snapped the new part into the slot the old one had been in.The repair including opening and closing the drawer took less than a minute.

First I unplugged the the stove. I then unscrewed the two screw holding the element. Because I had read the other repair reports on the site, I was very careful in pulling the element out so I wouldn't lose the wires in the rear of the stove.
Once out, I held them with the pliers and gently pulled the element until it was loose. Plugged in the new element screwed it back in and plugged in the oven. Worked like a charm. By the way the part arrived the day after ordering it!!!! This is a great site.

I disconnected power cord. Removed cooking racks. Removed element mounting screws. Removed back panel and removed wires on both ends. Pulled element out put new one in and bolted down. Reconnected wires. Put rear cover on. Plugged in and checked for correct opreation. OK!

Your online instructions said to remove the two screws and pull out the heating element about 3 inches and disconnect. When I did this the element came out but not where it was connect to the wire., I could not locate the wire from the front of the oven. I then pulled out the oven from the built in cabinet and removed the rear panel. Then inserted the element with the 2 screws from the front and connect the wires to the element from the back of the oven. Jim

I was selling my home and did not realize that the anti-tip bracket was not originally installed. A home inspection caught the problem and the buyers required that I install one. I could not find the original and obviously the installer never put it in place to begin with. The buyers wanted this resolved within a week so I had to act fast. I could not find one locally so I found what I needed on your website. It arrived in a couple of days and was easy to install. I used the template provided in the kit and drove the screws through the bracket into the wood plate behind the drywall. Pushed the range back in place and that's it. Couldn't get any easier.

First I removed 2 screws that held the stove top in place. Raised the stove top and support it. Then, I removed the hold down spring for the burner and removed three wires from the old burner. I found that the connector on the white wire was spread open too much so I crimped it closed for a better fit on the terminal. I reattached the three wires, put the hold down spring back in place, lowered the stove top and installed the 2 screws. JOB DONE

My husband removed the screws that held the top of the stove on and then lifted the top up. It is hinged. He then took out the old insulation, wiped down all visible parts of the interior with a bleach solution and replaced the blanket insulation with the new insulation. That took care of the problem!

Had to reference original owner's manual for instruction(s) on how to remove oven door. Used several "YouTube" videos to reference oven door design (Oven door glass is actually several layers of glass.) After completing about 30 mins of research and finding the right square drive bit, the repair went smoothly and without complications. The biggest challenge was researching and understanding what part(s) were needed and how to replace them. It seemed liked a lot of work doing the research however it sure beat a $350 repair bill. It cost me $90 and about 1 1/2 hours of total time. Oven works better than ever, thanks parts select for the part(s) and diagram(s) ...

The repair was straight forward and the video was a big help. I removed the oven racks and then used a 1/4" socket with a nut driver to unscrew the bolts at the back. Since this is a really old oven, the connecting wires were a bit difficult to remove from the bake element connectors. They seems kind of stuck, so I took a small, thin screw driver and pried up one of the metal clamps of the connecting wire just enough to let me budge the connector to detach the bake element. Had to do that for both sides. Then I just put the new bake element in, attached the wire connectors, made sure the wires and the ends of the bake element were all the way back in their holes, screwed the screws back in, and then put the racks back in. It was really easy, except for the bit of a challenge getting the wire connectors detached from the old bake element connectors. Works now without catching fire. :-D
