Aluminum foil accidentally put on bottom panel ....burnt up, left non removable residue.
After 15 minutes of frustration and back breaking I removed the oven door and had much better access to the panel, from there on it was all down hill.

Electrical connection pulled off the element
When I pulled the element out of the back panel of the oven to remove it, the electrical connection got caught on the edge of the hole in the panel and disappeared back into the oven insulation. It was difficult to find and pull it back out to reinstall it on the new element.

Oven light stayed on & smelled like electrical burning.
Wife was cooking our thanks giving turkey, when an oder of burning was noticed. I walked over to the oven and smelled the area of oven light, it was bad. I turned off and unpluged oven. Got a screw driver, unscrewed 4 screws then noticed the burned switch from under the oven top. removed 3 wires, covered w/ elec. tape, and pulled oven light switch out front. looked at part number and ordered online. We were able to cook our turkey and enjoyed our meal.

Oven would not heat, broiler still worked.
I unplugged the stove for precautionary reasons.
I then removed the two screws holding element in place with the correct nutdriver.
I then carefully pulled out the element and pulled the two female spade connectors off.
I then compared to new element and plugged the new element in.
Finally I screwed in the new element and tested the oven.
It worked again!! I would recommend running the oven for a bit before placing anything in to bake. this allows burn off of stuff on the new element.

Bottom elerment burnt into
First i removed the two screws that hold the element
in place. I the pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnect the 2 wires. The new one didn't come with the little holders at the front of the element and were very hard to get loose from the old element .i finally got them back on the new one and put it back in the stove. Pretty simple job though.

Bake Element Stopped Working
When I found the part I needed there was an instructional video on how to remove broken bake element and install new bake element. This was the best video short and sweet and anyone...I mean ANYONE could do it!
Step 1- cut off the power supply (I flipped by breaker, but you could just unplug the oven)
Step 2- remove baking racks
Step 3- unscrew the little metal plates inside the oven where the bake element meets the back of the oven (reserve screws for new element)
Step 4- carefully pull the bake element out until you have the wires through the holes
Step 5- carefully pull the bake element from the wire clips on both sides
Step 6- take broken element out of over and put new one in
Step 7- slide new bake element ends onto wire clips
Step 8- slide new bake element and connected wires back though back of oven
Step 9- used saved screws to screw metal plates on bake element to the back of the oven
Step 10- replace oven racks
Step 11- restore power to range
Step 12- enjoy a working oven and feel like an absolute PRO for fixing it yourself!!!!

Large electric burner (front of oven top) acted intermittenly
First unplug the stove before staring any of this task. loosen and remove three cross tip screws at the upper front of the stove top. You will need a piece of 1x3 wood about 1 1/2 feet long to hold the stove top up (sets at an angle upwards to the front). Loosen remove the bracket holding the burner you wish to replace. Disconnect the electrical wires connected to the burner. The burner is held in place with bracket clamps, remove the clamps from the oven bracket holding it. The burner will have a series if numbers in the back side, remove the brackets one at a time and reinstall on the same number on the new burner. do this to all 3 or four brackets. Install the new burner, install the bracket holding the burner, reconnect the wires. remove the wood brace and all tools. lay the stove top back down on the stove. plug the stove in and test the burner to make sure it works. turn off the burner and install the screws hold the stove to in place. Ta-Da your done. Also you tube has movie shots to give you a much better picture of what I just wrote about...

the bottom oven element shorted and melted
pulled oven out, unplugged, unscrewed element attachment to the back of the oven (from the inside). element did not work. we tested the upper element and that did not work either. the burst of sparks, heat and flame from the shorting of the original element caused damage to the computer board. we called a local repair man to change the computer board, and then the unit worked, with our new element that we replaced!
