CFEF3012USA Frigidaire Range - Instructions

Took back cover off 2 screws held the switch then moved wires one at a time from old switch to the new one put everything back plugged in stove everything worked

Checked the burner and no power to heat the burner. removed the old switch and put on the new one.

Took the back off and replaced the switch for that burner. Got alittle nervous because the switch did not look the same and the connectors were labeled differently, but it worked. Lost the red light button some how during the repair so when I turned the stove on sparks came out the back because the light connector was loose so I did have to order another one of those.

Removed five screws from back of range top with nut driver.Lifted wire connectors(4).Replaced old control board with new one.Replaced screws.And Bingo!The whole procedure took about 15 minutes.

We removed the back of the stove, unscrewed switch from the stove face and unplugged the wires from the old switch. The new switch was universal so I had to follow the numbers by the prong on the old switch to determine which was the correct prong to plug the wires, plugged them in, screwed the switch back to the stove face and replaced the back Viola all fixed.

Took off back of oven, detached old clock piece, attached new one, put back panel back, done.

After confirming that the renter had broken the timer through frustration I ordered the correct part and fixed the problem.After removing the rear panel it was obvious the timer was broken..just put wires where needed and reinstalled the new clock timer..The oven worked like new..

After a power outage or bake and broil features stopped working, but the rest of the appliance worked fine. I wasn't sure if it was the clock part or the temp probe, but decided the cost replacing both parts was less than a repairman. So first, I watched the video link on the part's page...extremely helpful! Then it was a matter of a few screws and unplugging and re-plugging a few wires. I have NO electrical experience, and very little handy-man experience. This is a simple repair that anyone could do. I am most amazed with PartSelect because it literally took 24 hrs after placing the order for it to arrive on my doorstep. And it saved us an estimated $175 in repairman labor fees. I disconnected the power cord,took the top back plate off,the switch knob on the switch I was to change,the two screws holding it.pull the old switch out,place the new one in the holder,replaced the two screws that holds the switch and took the wires off the old switch one at a time and placed them on the new one in order on new switch.replaced the back cover and plugged power cord back in.turned range on,it was good. r taite,

I watched you vedio and done just as the vedio told me how to change the switch. When I got the switch on pluged it in turned it on and every thing work great. thank you very much.

The infinite switch arrived promptly and while not a perfect match fit the range fine. It took me a few extra minutes to figure out the wiring configuration, but it was fairly easy. I was very pleased with Parts Select's service.

replaced temp probe per your suggestion. No improvement! checked both heating elements with ohm meter. OK Next suggestion was replace circuit boards. Bought new range for less than cost of 2 oven/range control boards.

The video was a great help. I could have replaced the switch without watching it, but it gave me confidence that I was doing it right. Everything went just like he said it would. Burner seems to work better now and no more scary noises.

Confirm the problem and check electrical diagram to see if there was any other circuit in the syatem that could cause the burner to stay on , remove back cover and inspect switch contacts, found them burnt , look up parts for the model number and replace it.

I read some other's repairs from this site with similiar symptoms. Take off the back takes a couple of minutes. Turn off power at the breaker of course the range is 220 volts. Remove the 4 screws holding the clock timer. Carefully remove the clock front as not to damage it. It has a flexible glue that holds it. You may need to take a knife to get it started. Line it up and stick it on the new clock timer, there will be plenty of glue left to hold it. Remove wires one at a time and place them on the new board as you go until you have all leads changed to the new board. Put the new timer in place and insert the 4 screws that hold it.Turn it on and the clock should be flashing. Reset the clock and you should be ready to go! I turned on the oven and it worked! I saved myself a about $250 by doing it myself. $85 for a service call and whatever they would decided to mark up for the clock timer. 20 minutes start to finish. It really was an easy fix!
