TES355VQ0 Estate Range - Instructions

I had to bring the new handle to the Hardware store and have them pick out screws that would work. The only problem is that I live 12 miles one way from the Hardware store. My advise is to order scews when ordering the handle.

removed the two screws and unhooked the old heating element. I set the new element in place and attached the electrical leads and replaced the two screws and tested the oven.

Looked up on-line the error problem and what part I needed to fix it. Part arrived very quickly and everything was going fine until I realized the stove had two sensors. Replaced the top sensor now I am getting an error on the bottom sensor. Maybe I replaced the wrong one. I will replace the bottom sensor with the one I took out and see if that does the trick. Pulled the oven away from the wall, unplugged the oven. Unscrewed the back panel(2 screws)that covers the pigtail connection. Pulled the two wires that attached to the heating element. Inside the oven i removed the two screws holding the element in place and removed old element. Put the new element in place and returned screws. The two wires clipped effortlessly on the back, returned cover and screws and plugged the oven back in. Tested the oven and returned it to its position, reset the clock and done.

unscrew the bolts connecting the elements and replaced

Unplug oven, open oven door wide,pull out racks, clean reside that old element left. I used power drill with phillips head bit,pulled out old element, and disconnected wires from clips. Connected new element to wires, and Presto.Turned bake element to 300 deg.and waited only to see it red and ready to cook.

I removed the broken heating element while waiting for the new part to arrive and cleaned the oven. SO much easier without anything in the way. Once the part arrived and it was wonderfully packaged...Easy to open but very well protected, it was a snap to connect the 2 power wires and then screw in the 2 screws to secure the heating element. I was back to baking in less than 10 minutes.

Turn power off at breaker box, remove back cover inserted wires into element, done and ready to be use

Removed rear panel and removed switch. I placed wires from old switch to the new one. re installed switch an back panel.

Removed the therminal block and put the new one in.Using a screwdriver, very easy repair.

changing the part itself was easy, but the sheet metal covering the whole back of the oven was difficult to remove because of some screws that were stripped. The new sensor solved the problem.

take the 2 screws that hold the handle on out...watch the glass front and the side trims because the handle holds them on. Take the glass out then remove the side trims. Replace the side trims holding the glass in place with 2 pieces of masking tape om each side then install the handle with the 2 screws and remove the masking tape.

Removed back of stove, 8 screws, removed original latch assembly and installed new assembly. One thing that can cause you difficulty is that the rod that connects the assembly to the front latch on the door can disconnect and has to be reconnected.[Problem]

unscrew two screws..took old element out, put perfect fit new element in,screw two screws back in.

I determined the problem by swapping the 8 inch burner with a 6 inch burner. the 8 inch got hot when connected to the 6 inch wire harness. This told me that the 8 inch burner was good. The 6 inch failed to get hot so I determined the next logical thing was the power to the 8 inch burner. I used a multi meter to determine that power was getting into the control unit but no voltage was getting out. The controller was bad. I ordered a new controller and after unplugging the stove, replaced the controller in about 10 minutes. (Critical part of repair is to unplug unit from wall -220 volts!)
