no heat
did basic diagnostics to narrow down the problem to be likely one of the three parts include w/ the kit. removed front panel and confirmed that part looked like the one on the web page. part arrived 3 business days after ordering.
used nutdriver to remove two screws holding old part in place. pulled old part out still attached to wiring harness and assembled new part and attached wires the same way as the old part. installed new part, plugged in dryer and confirmed that it was heating. replaced front pannel and dryer is now working as well as ever. hardest part was reaching to the back of the dryer from the front while lying on the floor. total cost was cheaper than a service call, let alone paying for parts and labor from a service tech.

dryer not heating
Well first of all you get to the back of the dryer from the FRONT.. after lower panel was removed location of the heating element was right in front of you. Two 7/16 sheet metal screws hold the heating element in place very easy to remove.. upon removal you will have plenty of room to pull element out and switch out the wires you need to do.. Upon examination I think my trouble was a high limit fuse that burned out, so I propably did'nt need to buy the whole element ( you might want to check that first it is the ceramic one ) cleaned everything out and dryer is as good as new Good luck

Original knobs with number readings worn off
Took the old knobs off and put the new ones on...voila!!
They fit perfect and even had the same part number stamped inside. Perfect fit and just like new!
Wasn't much of a repair per se but wanted to give a good review. The old knobs were over 30 years old so I was worried I wouldn't be able to find an exact replacement but PartSelect had the exact match.

Dryer had no heat
Disconnected dryer from vent and power receptacle, placed dryer on its back and remove the front panel by removing screws along the bottom of the panel and pulling down on the panel. Below the drum the element mounting plate was visible so I removed the sensor and element wires, removed the element mounting screws and pulled the element down and out of its "duct". I installed the new element and replaced the wires and front panel. That's all folks!

Needed 2 burner knobs for my 20+ year old range
I have a gas oven range and 2 of the knobs were stripped, making it difficult to control the heat. My appliance is at least 20 years old. I thought I'd have to replace the whole thing. I found your website, did a search, and found exactly what I needed. The knobs fit perfectly. Although not an exact match to the originals, they work, and that's all I care about. Easy and inexpensive fix.

burned oven bulb
The hardest part was taking out original light bulb because screws on shield where hard to unscrew after all this years . The old bulb vent out leaving neck in socket. It took narrow electrical pliers to get neck out .The generic appliance bulb did not fit and had aluminum neck ,not recommended for brass sockets in ovens.Putting new light bulb in was not the problem.
