The thumb screw plastic came off
Open the package with the new screw and it looked like the screw was wider. I tried it to see if it goes in and as long as you screw it straight in, there was no problem.

One of the wire spokes had broken on my wire whip.
This is Cindy, the person who ordered the part for Nancy. She was absolutely thrilled that she got it the very next day! She thought I had paid extra for overnight delivery! She is so pleased she doesn't have to listen to the noise the other wire whip was making when turned on. Cindy

The spring latch had broken.
All that was required was a screwdriver and about 5 minutes. I removed the broken latch and screwed in the new one. Good as new. I am not a mechanical genius, but this repair can be done by about 98% of people.

Motor would not turn on
Initially removed carbon brushes then inserted the new carbon brushes. The motor still did not turn on. Then I removed the brushes again, used a flashlight to look in the hole where the carbon brushes are installed. I noticed that there was a square notch on one side of the hole. I then reinstalled the carbon brushes, ensuring that the beveled side of the carbon brush was installed so it lines up with the square notch. This allows the carbon brushes to touch the motor. I turned the unit on and it worked.
