Exterior Door Frame to Microwave cracked
The most difficult part of the repair was getting the handle removed from the door because we saw that the handle had a front face and mistakenly thought that had to come off before the door frame could be removed. Tenants had glued up the entire frame and handle making it even more difficult. Removing the original glass was made a little more difficult because of their added glue. Once assembly of the new door started, it was easy to flex the door frame and the glass slipped right into the tabs. If we had a good handle, that would be a quick assembly to attach next. Then hanging it on the metal door frame with the three original screws would be quick and easy.

Replace bulb under the microwave
Piece of cake. One screw to release the dropdown light diffuser. Just remember, the you're screwing the new bulb in from a reverse perspective. Also this site sends the correct part the first time.

Microwave turns on but did not heat
Loosened but did not remove screws that held up microwave over range, removed grill on top by loosening screws that held grill in place.removed small mesh grill on right side of microwave, this gave me access to capacitor ,diode is connected from one lead of capacitor to a metal plate ground,Disccarged capacitor to ground by shorting terminals to ground using a thick insulated screwdriver.Since the diode was screwed to the top of the metal plate I cut it out with a pair of side cutters .I then connected the new diode to the capacitor with my long nose pliers and groonded the other end to a more accessible part of the metal grounding plate.I then replaced all parts in reverse order.Works like a charm.

Replacing the cracked door handle
We had to take off the black inside frame of the door in order to get to the screws which held the handle on. Getting that piece off was a real challenge for fear of cracking the plastic around the edge of the door.....it wasn't very easy. Once we got that off, the rest of the repair was simple, and replacing the inside frame went very smoothly.

Door handle broke
I removed three screws and then "gently" removed the front door plastic panel. Two more screws were all that was required to remove the broken door handle and replace it. You DO have to BE CAREFUL in removing the plastic panel. It "snaps" on and must be "snapped" off. If you are not careful you could easily break the panel and have to purchase a much more expensive part. If you are careful it is easy and takes only a few minutes.

Range light bulbs were burned out
We needed a phillips head screw driver to remove the single screw holding the light bulb cover in place.
Removing the old bulbs was a little work, because they had come loose from the sockets. We unplugged the microwave, so we could grip the sockets with a tool. I think my husband used a needle nose plier for this.
The new bulbs screwed in easily, and then we refastened the light bulb cover with the phillips head screw driver.
