Top support for door switch broke.
Part of the support was missing. I had to remove the two switches and put them in the new bracket
Had the switches reversed and started blowing fuses. Reversed them and changed the fuse and it started working.

Replacement of hood light bulbs
Unplug the microwave. Then remove the six screws that hold the lower panel which has the light bulb cover and a couple of vent filters. The light bulb sockets are on a fixture that is connected by a quick connect electrical connector. Disconnect that and the whole panel is free to access the bulbs. My bulbs were very fragile and trying to twist them out resulted in the glass twisitng loose with the base still in the sockets. I needed to use a needle nose pliers to remove the bases and then I replaced the bulbs and put every thing back together

Dropped the glass cooking tray and it broke in half
Looked up the Whirlpool Co. and ordered the part. It was quite simple. Arrived in 2 days and I simply placed it in the microware. It was very very easy!

The old coupling melted and the tray cracked in half.
It took me 15 minutes total - 5 minutes to clean the microwave, 1 minute to install three new parts, and 9 minutes to enjoy my celebratory glass of wine!

The top back corner of the microwave door was getting caught on the upper vent grille and was making a popping sound when opening and closing.
After removing the current vent grille I realized one of the three tabs that hold it in place (with the 2 screws) was broken off somehow. This allowed the vent grilled to slide down and into the way of the back edge of the door. It was bending the door edge and I didn't want further damage to the microwave.
I ordered the new part from partselect.com. It came within a couple days.
I opened the door and getting on a stool I could then reach the 2 screws that held the vent grille in place. I remove the screws and the old vent grille. I cleaned the inside of the area with a vacuum to remove the decade of dust and filth... it was pretty bad. (I will probably clean there more often now that I know how to get into it.)
I slid the new vent grille into place and set the screws. It works perfectly.
The stainless color was perfect and looked just like the previous one. The door opens freely now.
Steps:
1- Unplug microwave... always the first step for any repair on an electrical device. Also, be aware a microwave capacitor can hold a charge for a couple days, so be sure to only work on the vent unless you wait a few days for that charge to dissipate.
2- Open the door and get on a stool to find the 2 screws holding the vent in place. They are about 24in apart and screw in on the diagonal.
3- Remove the screws and slide the vent grill out of the tab slots by pulling the top of the vent forward slightly (toward you about 15 degrees) and lifting the vent grill up. The tabs are about 3/8in deep.
4- Clean area. You could blow it out or vacuum. I didn't use any liquid as this is an electrical device and I didn't want to short anything out.
5- Slide the new vent grille into the tab slots. One of the slots is also used by the light cover. You have to slide the light cover as far back as you can (slide the cover towards the back of the microwave) to get the vent grill in without lifting the light cover lid as you slide it in.
6- Place the screws back into the vent grill.
7- Plug in microwave.

Very unusual. we had a brief fire inside the microwave which destroyed all the moving rotary parts.
First, we had to clean up all the interior surfaces, which was just cleaning. There was no internal damage. Then, just setting the center connector, rotary rollers and glass plate. Simple
