Door Latch
Whirlpool Model# MH1150XMS-0 purchased in 2004. I called Whirlpool and they suggested a new microwave. No big surprise - being the thrifty person that I am I wasn’t taking this for an answer. I figured if I had to purchase a new microwave what was $35.22 (part# PS373828 + shipping) if it worked.
I replaced the latch on the microwave door. Once the latch was replaced. I also took this time to make sure that the microwave door was in alignment. Thereafter, I had to adjust the door interlock switch behind the microwave console panel to recognize the microwave being closed. Yes, gaining access to all these areas was a bit difficult but have patience. TADA!!!....microwave is working. #girlsrock

The microwave door had been opened too far and the door trim cracked along the backside.
Other instructions on the site are accurate. The only caution to add is remembering to put the handle back on before snapping the new panel into place. The plastic tabs are flimsy as previously mentioned and fit VERY snugly. Removing the new panel is VERY challenging without breaking it. So pay attention to the repair and not as much to the conversation around you while you replace the panel and you'll be fine.

Replace broken grille vent
PartSelect was the only company to show that the part came in 3 different colors. The grill vent was used to replace a cracked vent. It was simmple to slip in the new vent, but be sure to save the existing screws that holds the vent in place

Turntable did not work
Ordered a new motor. Removed the outside trim of the oven-microwave combo. 2 screws at the bottom of the trim. Removed the screws that held the combination micro and oven unit in place. Removed the top and bottom black plastic grill of the microwave. 3 screws each. Pulled the entire unit out about 1 inch exposing the screws at each side of the microwave that hold it in place.
Snapped off the top control panel which exposed the wiring connecting the control panel.
Unplugged a couple of wire harness units to free the control panel.
Be sure to label the units to know which goes where during reassembly.
Remove the microwave unit from the housing and place it on its side.
Remove the metal plate that houses the motor. 4 screws hold the motor in place. Disconnect the 2 wires from the old motor and you are ready to install the new motor. Be sure to TURN OFF THE POWER to the unit at the breaker box and remove the turntable from inside the microwave.

machine was dead.
After removing the over-the-range unit (no small feat!) I had to figure out how to open the case (good puzzle!). Capacitor had already discharged, so it was very easy to reach in, pop the old fuse and install the new one! As per your advice, I found out I was a "28%-er"! Upon re-installation, the microwave "sprang to life"!! Thanks, "Part Select"!! I was already shopping around for a new machine! (Now if you could only tell me an easier way to re-mount this heavy beast over the stove!!!)

"Lost" microwave tray
Took out the turntable parts to ensure I ordered the correct cooking tray. Matching those with photos of related parts on PartSelect worked great. Put turntable drive and support ring in place and cooking tray went in very easily. Plan to order a second one to have on hand for this rental property.

Grill vent was broken
This is a very basic job that a ten-year-old can do. Simply remove two screws at the top of the unit, remove the broken pieces of grill, snap the new one in place, and replace the screws. Oh, yes, I also cleaned out the foam and aluminum filter and cleaned some of the grease from behind the filter.

Thought filters should be changed after 5 years of use.
Used hands to slide filters sideways, till they could be pried out with screwdriver or bare hands. When new parts arrived, easily slide new filters into position. In hindsight, we did not need to replace grease filter. I was able to clean one of those with ordinary dish soap, warm water, and a brush.

Vent was Broken.
I, carefully, inserted the bottom tabs into the appropriate slots. I then rotated the vent piece up and into place under the top lip of the Microwave. Once positioned I installed the screws required to hold the piece in place. Very simple replacement. It gave me a chance to clean the grease behind the vent.
