The microwave door would not stay latched, so it wouldn't come on.
The repair was easy, I just took off a few screws and found the broken latch spring. The real story is how easy it was to find the replacement spring from Partselect! I couldn't believe they had it, and even better yet, I ordered it one afternoon, and it came the next day with normal shipping! Unbelievable! Then I just popped it in and replaced the covers I had removed and it was working again!

5 year old daughter broke the handle and door panel
Removed the three screws on the side popped the whole panel off, unscrewed the handle and used those screws for the new handle. Removed and transferred the glass panel held down with hot glue. Popped the new panel back on the door and screwed the three screws back in to hold. Took about twenty minutes.

Removing old door panel and installing new one
Remove the old door panel by first removing the three screws on the right-hand-side (rhs) of the door. Then pry the old door panel off by using a flat-blade screwdriver. Begin at the rhs near the door handle. The door panel is attached by being pressed into plastic fingers. Once the door panel is loosened from the plastic clips, you should find that it hinges out from the hinge side of the door. If you are just replacing the door panel you will need to remove the plastic retainer and glass plate in the old door panel. These also are retained by plastic clips. You then need to remove the door handle from the old panel since you will attach this to the new door panel. I suggest putting a reasonably large washer on each of the two screws that hold the handle since it is the stress caused by these two screws that caused your old door panel to crack. The washers distribute the stress on the door over a larger larger area. Snap the glass plate from the old panel into the clips on the new door panel. Secure the glass plate with the plastic retainer than you removed from the old door panel. Begin installing the new door panel complete with the glass plate and plastic retainer by first placing it over the hinge side end of the door. The plastic tabs in the door panel should fit into recesses on the lhs of the microwave. Then gently begin pressing the new door panel into the plastic clips on the microwave frame. Work from the hinge side to the door handle side. Congratulations - you have just saved yourself $300+ on the purchase of a new microwave oven!

The exterior door trim and handle were cracked
I removed the three screws holding the door trim panel and handle. It was an easy job and required a little force. I removed the glass and backing from the trim and removed the handle. I used two screws to remove the handle. I used a few pieces of double-sided tape tp secure the from glass panel in place. I them re-installed the door and handle with the three screws and side of the door away from the hinge. Nice, neat and very easy job.

broken vent grill for Kitchenaid microwave oven
I just looked at the broken one to see where it broke and looked at the microwave. I realized that there were two screws that were supposed to hold the vent grill along with 3 slots on the bottom. I inserted the slots on the bottom into the preset spaces for them, lined up the top with the two screws and screwed them into place. Checked to make sure the screws were not too tight and that was it. New vent grill in place and ready to go.

Microwave Vent Hood Filters
Not so sure this would qualify as "instructions", but I only needed a screwdriver because the "D" rings of the old vent filters broke off and I had to pry to old ones out. Keep in mind, I am mechanically disadvantaged and can barely change an A/C filter ... that being said, all I did for this order was input my Model number and PartSelect found the correct replacement part. I receive the parts super quick (faster than the other 2 purchases I did that day). The only bummer was the packaging ... super huge box for small tiny parts. Otherwise, I now know where to go for replacement parts. This project should be a "no-brainer" for most DYI's, so getting the right parts with just a model number was lifesaving for me :0)
