KHMS145JBT0 KitchenAid Microwave - Instructions

Replaced the supports and rack.

Removed two screws to that held the old bracket. Installed new part and replaced the screws. Very simple. About 10 minutes. The part cost about $38.00. A repairman charged my neighbor 100 + dollars for the part and plus installation for the exact same thing. I highly recommend Partselect.

PartSelect website indicated replacing the high voltage power supply diode is the solution for "no heat" 99% of the time, but the diode was OK. There is more info at the website concerning the case of "loud buzzing and no heat" indicating the magnetron needs to be replaced. As an electrical engineer with knowledge of microwave components, this was also my best guess. However, getting to the magnetron is not the easiest job, but it's not impossible. You also have to be careful to bleed off any charge stored on the high voltage power supply capacitor. Luckily, I found my KitchenAid service manual tucked away inside the unit since I couldn't find it online.

First remove three screws on the handel side of the door,then use a thin blade [putty knife or butter knife to seperate the plastic colored face from the door very gently . You must pry up to seperate the catches of the door panel from the door. Work your way back to hinge side of door. Remove the handel from the panel [2 screws] then remove the protective outter glass,push back on clips and lift glass out. Reverse the proceedure the door panel snaps back on to the door easily

Unscrewed three screws and used putty knife to pry door cover off unscrew door handle put on new face plate and redo the three screws and clip back on oh you have to unclip the glass part and put on to the new face plate before putting on new door front to microwave

I ordered another one and placed it inside the microwave. It works and fits perfectly. I received the order exactly as scheduled.

Removed turntable
Place support ring in track
Place turntable on support ring.
Easy, peasy!

I loosened the 2 screws at the top, removed the broken-off pieces of the old part, then easily placed the new part and tightened the screws.

The whole process was so easy! It was easy to order the part. It came directly to the house in just a few days.

I removed the two screws on the side. Took a putty knife and gently pryed it away from the rest of the door. I took the handle off the old door and put it on the new door. I took the glass and the plastic frame that holds it on off the old door and put it in the new door, I snapped the new door back on and relaced the screws.

Looked up the Whirlpool Co. and ordered the part. It was quite simple. Arrived in 2 days and I simply placed it in the microware. It was very very easy!

Took out 2 phillips screws on top, pulled the old grill out, hooked the tabs on the bottom of the replacement into place, positioned the top of the replacement, and replaced the 2 screws. 5 minutes. NOTE: Save the screws, new ones don't come with the replacement grill.

I really did not have a repair on the microwave just a replacement of the browning pan

We took a chance on the less expensive black Whirlpool vent grille as I found online that it would fit our stainless steel Kitchenaid microwave. My husband was able to pry the stainless cover off the broken grille and snap it onto the new black one. Then just screw in the top screws to secure. We are very happy with the stainless/black of the new setup. It goes very well with the stainless/black of the cooktop and oven.
