Placed the new tray in the microwave.

I just pulled out the old, and reinstalled the new one.

This is the tray the glass cooking tray rest on and rotates the glass during cooking. The metal tray was installed upside down. The rotating glass tray was not properly installed. The oven was at a very high temp. and the weight of the utensil on the glass was not supported correctly. Result, big " pop " and broken glass tray. Note this is the second glass repaced. The first one dropped while removing it from the oven. It stuck to the bottom of the cooking dish and then fell to the floor. Pop, big breakage. Maybe you can learn from my mistakes.

Just like the directions said. Very simple.

I was so happy to find this part. I had been using an upside down glass bowl to level the rack! once I found part and it arrived it was in in less than 5 seconds!!

My daughter hand installed bulbs without a problem, took a minute and used a phillips to reinstall the cover. I shopped on-line because I wasted two hours between Lowe's and Home Depot trying to get the right bulb. I did think your postage was crazy high, otherwise glad to get the right bulbs to solve the problem.

Removed tray from shipping container and installed in the microwave.

Glass cooking tray was cracked. I removed the old cooking tray and stuck it in the box the new one came in. I laid the new one in the microwave and it fit. The halogen bulb just pushed in and the cover was easy to re-cover.

Buying the bulb and doing the replacement my self was the best thing I had done. The same problem happened last year and I had the American Home shield insurance at that time so I called the company and they took three weeks between ordering and replacing the light, they showed me the final bill and it was $240.00....!!! This time I bought the light through partselect, got it within 48 hours and did he replacement myself within 15 min, I followed the instructions on the video and had to do an extra step ( due to the model I have) but I was able to replace the bulb and yooohooo it was working when I reconnect the power... I am a person who never tried to fix any electrical appliance before, but after this experience I will always try to do it myself... Believe me if I can do it and felt it was easy you can do it.... Very easy replacement. Just lift out and replace with a new one!

First unplugged the microwave, took top grill off, took control panel off, took wires off and used color coded tape to make sure they went back in right places, took fuse out and replaced it and put every thing back and it all worked fine and to top it off my wife did it all. So it was pretty easy.

Used new rubber gloves so as to not get finger prints on the bulbs. Hope that was ok. Trying to use a paper towel was a nuisance. Also had to use a mirror to see the slots for the bulbs. This was actually a pain to do especially since I am short and was on my toes to do this. Only the bright light works and before there was a night light and a bright light. So there you have it.

Read instructions and viewed video. Project would have been very difficult without the instructions and video. Step 1 removed vent grill at top to microwave, by removing two scres. Step 2 removed microwave door by lifting. Step 3 used a one inch plaster knife to separate the plastic interior cover of the door. The video was most helpful. Use the thin blade of the plaster knife to locate snap locations of the plastic cover. Step 4 removed broken latch by applying slight pressure to the outside. Observed the attachment of the 'spring'. Step 5 installed new latch and spring. Step 6 reinstalled interior plastic cover. Step 7 install door. Step 8 install vent cover with two screws. Step 9 test unit.
