The turn table was making a terrible noise and wouldn't turn. I called a repair company and they told me it would be at least a hundred dollars to fix it.
I removed the screws that held the bottom in and then dropped it down to access the motor. I removed the 2 screws that held the motor in and unplugged it. I then plugged the new one in and reattached it with the 2 screws and put the bottom back on. It took me about 5 minutes to fix it for only $40.00.

Had to replace the door handle on my microwave
I removed the inner bracket that held the glass in place with a nylon dish scraper that we use to clean our pots and pans with. It was safer than using a screw driver. I inserted the tapered portion of the scraper between in the bracket and the door edge on the inside of course, then slid it across the opening all around the door until the it separated. Making it easy to remove scews for the handle and the glass bracket.

The microwave was making a lot of noise and the glass plate was turning very slowly.
I diagnosed the problem myself. I googled GE parts and was refered to you guys. I ordered the part and it took less than a 5 days to arrive. I used a phillips scewdrive to remove the cover of my microwave and removed the turning glass motor. This took less that 30min and cost less that $50.00. I figured that it would have cost me approx $125.00 to get a tech person to my home for this repair.
Thanks a lot!

glass turn table quit working
removed glass turn plate, removed broken coupler, went on-line and order the part on the GE website. It was really easy to determine the part number because of the diagram on the internet site, once I had the part number, simply placed the order. I was surprised how quickly the part arrived.

Original drive motor was making noise and not turning the glass cooking tray.
I removed the five screws that held the bottom plate in place. After removing the bottom plate, I unscrewed the one screw holding the drive motor, unplugged the motor, and then installed the new motor. Replaced the botton plate and then tested the new motor. Everything worked like new.
The part was less expensive than buying it from GE. I ordered the motor on a Monday morning and received it Wednesday afternoon. I was completely satisified with the price, part, and shipping time.

This was so easy. I'm really glad I did not call a repairman!
Removed six screws that allowed the "bottom" to swing down; then removed the two screws holding the motor - disconnected the two wires. Installed the motor and reversed this procedure to finish the project.

Glass cooking tray not turning
First I removed the 6 screws that hold the bottom panel in place. I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires and then connected the two wires to the new element. Secured the element in place and replaced bottom panel.

Microwave was making a koud grinding sound
First I unplugged the microwave from the wall receptacle. Next I removed eight screws that let the bottom plate of the microwave hood pivot down with its hinges. Next I removed two screws holding the turn motor in place. I then unplugged the motor and replaced it with the new motor and reversed the above procedures until everything was back in place. I then turned the microwave on and was thrilled to find it working properly again.

drive tray table failed to turn
unplugged the appliance, removed the glass tray from inside, turned the microwave on its side and removed the 3x3 panel, removed the drive motor by taking out two screws and disconnecting the two electrical wires, compared the new item with the old one, placed new in olds position and screwed in place. replaced the 3x3 cover, turned microwave upright, plugged in the power cord, placed a cup of water on the tray, turned the microwave on for 30 sec. and watched the table turn. Very simple and convenient application.
