glass cooking tray not rotating
Removed screws from bottom of microwave. Had to invite my neighbor over to remove one of the screws... he used his impact drill.

Found out that the motor was working fine. It was the brown piece that the glass cooking tray sits on that was broken.

I had removed the glass tray and tried to pull out the brown piece...but, it wouldn't come out and so I assumed that it was intact and thought that the motor wasn't working.

It's great that it's so easy to return parts to PartSelect.

Non working Cooking Tray
The ground shipping took less than three days. When I got home from work the part was at home. While I was having dinner I told my 17 year son to get a phillip screw driver. He unplugged the power from the wall. He removed five screw from the bottom of microwave. He then removed one screw from the drive motor, disconnected motor plug, reconnected the plug to the new motor, placed back one screw on the motor and screwed back the five screws. Tested the microwave and the tray was turning successfully. It took my son less than five minutes. Real easy and highly recommended.

Microwave turntable didn't rotate.
I removed the 7 screws on the cover for it to drop down. Then disconnected the 2 plugs from the motor and removed 2 screws that was holding the motor in place. Connected the new motor to the plugs, screwed back in place, and then screwed the cover up. Total time: approximately 15 minutes. I suggest you put a towel on top of the stove for protection. Easy to do. Thank you.

We moved into a new house and the cooking tray would not turn in our microwave. It would turn but not with the glass on it. I removed the bottom cover and took off the motor. It would turn but very slowly.
I went online and very quickly was able to order a new motor from PartSelect.com . It was at my house in a few days. I quickly installed the new motor and Voila! the cooking tray now turns the way it's supposed to! Thank you, PartSelect.com!

Turntable on microwave not turning
I contacted an appliance store in an attempt to have my microwave serviced and when I explained the problem they informed me that it was too difficult and not worth fixing.
My research revealed that the problem may just be a failed turntable motor and after reading the symptoms on Partselect website, I decided to give it a try.
The part arrived within 2 days. I removed the screws, un-installed the defective motor and replaced it with the new motor. Replace the screws and the microwave and turntable are now working perfectly. This repair took about 5 minutes.
Thanks Partselect,
Sam

broken motor making grinding sound
Wow! Had I known it was this inexpensive and easy I would have fixed my microwave long ago! Everyone else covered the "how to" well, so I won't be redundant. It would have cost almost as much to fix as replace the microwave calling a professional. Now I get to feel great about saving money and being environmentally responsible by fixing rather than tossing an otherwise good microwave.

The turn table stopped turning
I removed the bottom steel cover. Unplugged the drive motor, and order the correct part. The catolog was very easy to use and understand.

4 days later, the right part arrived, and in minutes I installed it, replaced the steel cover, and it was fixed. Very easy and done for under $ 50.00 and no labor charges.

Thanks, Parts Select .com!!!
