Door handle was broken
Using the notes that people posted here I was able to replace the handle very quickly. First prying around the edge edges of the door to pop the plastic out then removing the inner metal bracket.

Handle broke off.
Removed the facing on the inside of the door (in doing that I broke it and had to glue it together) and removed the remaining screws. I put the handle in place and replaced the screws and facing which I had glued. It works fine.

Converted an over the range microwave from non vented ductless to outside vent.
Installation of the damper was effortless but removing the microwave, cutting holes vertically through an overhead cabinet then installing ducting with a ninety degree bend, through another cabinet, and then through outside wall consumed most of the time and effort.Your service, packaging, and timely (next day!) were extremely helpful.

Bulb Light Replacement
I thought I could just unscrew the bulbs in the SpacemakerXL Microwave Oven. The bulbs melted into the bulb socket so every attempt to unscrew the bulb with pliers just broke the socket. So I took out the few screws holding up the bottom panel(with the bulbs and filters). I unplugged the electrical connection and took out the sockets but I used PAM Cooking oil on the electrical connections plugging into the sockets to avoid pulling the wire holders from the connection. Replacing both bulbs and the sockets at the same time makes sense since the heat from the stove melts the bulbs in the socket.

the light over the stove top went out
I tried to replace a light bulb over the cook stove without turning off the power supply. The light socket had deteriorated and the bulb base shorted out on the microwave frame. I ordered new sockets and bulbs. Replacing them was s simple matter with the power off. However, there was still no lights working with the power on. I pulled to cover off on top of the microwave (two screws) and checked the fuse. Continuity test showed it to be ok. Next I pulled the cover off the control panel and pulled out the mother board. On the back side I noticed two burnt pins. I applied solder with a solder gun to replace the burnt off solder. I put it all back together and it works fine.

Difficulty In Removing Front Panel
The inside door trim is easily removed by inserting the handle of a small spoon at the space at the door hinge and then sliding it alone to top to remove the plastic clips. The outside door panel is more intense. You will be able to see the plastic clips that hold the plastic panel to the door and will be able to force the clips away from the metal door frame. However there are locating pins that stick through the metal door. These may have swollen because of heat, use long nose pliers to squeeze and push through the metal door, may take 2 people, 1 to release the clips the other to push the locating pins through the metal frame. With the front pane off there are 4 screws that hold the handle to the front panel.

Door Handle broken
Every thing about the door of the microwave is snap together except the four screws that hold the handle to the door through outer and inner panels. You simply pry carefully the outer panel off. Remove two screws that become visible. The inner panel is not so easy. It will separate from the outer door and glass, but you have to be careful. Once separated, the other two screws are revealed. The glass slid out of the outer door on me. I finally got it back in and snapped every thing back together. Look for the alignment pins of the outer door to fit in the inner panel holes. The outer inner panel snapped right back it. The only bad result was I smudged the glass and now I have permanent smudges sandwiched in the door. I'm going to live with it.

Replace broken handle on microwave oven door
I have replaced Handles on GE Microwave ovens before. The previous two attempts were much easier because the screws that attach the handle are easily accessible without removing any other parts. On this Model the 4 screws that attach the handle have their heads hidden inside the door assembly. Although you might be able to replace the handle without removing the door, I would strongly advise against this. On my particular model the door was easy to remove; I did learn from some on-line videos that there is a more complex version, which is why I rated my experience as 'difficult' rather than 'very difficult'. So, if you cant immediately remove the old handle buy extracting visible screws, stop and remove the door assembly. Don't attempt to pry the handle off, you could easily damage the whole assembly. With the door off face down on your workbench, remove the plastic trim from the inside of the door frame using a putty knive. Be really careful, this is held in by a few plastic tabs on each edge, and they are very easy to break. At this point you may be luck to have revealed all the screws holding on the handle. Remove any that are visible. If you can't easily remove the handle now, you are going to have to remove the metal shield that surrounds the window. This is held in with screws and more lugs. You will then reveal the last two screws that hold the handle in place. If you cant remember how to put it all back, it was probably a project you shouldn't have attempted! Good luck, this is appliance designed in part to completely confound anyone who attempts to repair without some prior knowledge of the assembly. If I hadn't found a few tips on-line I'm sure I would have wreaked mine, and had to replace the whole door assembly for $200 instead of a $40 Handle.

Lights broke and stuck in socket
As suggested, I placed a towel over the stove. Only had 3 main screws to remove from bottom of microwave. Dropped the bottom and changed the sockets and light bulbs. After replacing the bottom tray, I put the new glass light lens in. The clips on glass holder bent back like a photo frame-really easy. Turned on the lights and was done.
