Turntable would not rotate.
First I unplugged microwave oven, then removed the six screws at the bottom of the microwave and lowered the base to expose the small motor. I removed the motor and replaced it with the new one. From inside the oven I pushed the drive shaft back into the new motor, then replaced the bottom with the six screws. I plugged the oven in and tested it. It worked! In less than 15 min. I saved over $220, and I'm a 65 year old Grandma! Thank you, thank you!

Glass Cooking Table Not Turning - Food Burning
Most mirco wave have a plate on the bottom to protect turn table motor. This one had no screws - it has 6 tabs holding the protective cover. Used pliers to tear tabs. Used philip's driver to remove screw and turned motor to come out. Went back in reverse order replacing motor. Left protective plate off

the tray started running slower to where it would not turn
about 6 philips head screws along the bottom drops that cover off. 2 more hold the motor in place.

carefully remove the 2 wire plug onto the motor . do not touch or get near the black wire.unless you want to get shocked.like i did.

remove the 2 motor screws.put the new one up and turn untill the screw holes are the holes in the
lower inner cover. reinstall the screws .reinstall the plug and lower plate.

having been a auto mechanic till i retired, helped me a lot.total time to make the repair was about 15 min.

this is not my first order from parts select and all i can say is they rock with the best of service i have ever gotten for appliance parts. and prices one can not found to beat for factory parts.

bulb burned out light that is under the microwave, which lights the oven below.
thank you for the video--very clear, responsible, applicable although the illustration was not exactly of our kind of light. the bulb was exactly like the one Hotpoint used in its microwave made in 1989! I will come back to you for parts in the future. (You have the model # from my original order.)

Microwave turntable barely moving and motor making loud noises
Disconnect power to microwave. Remove plastic rotor attached to motor shaft. I had to pry up from underneath it with a screwdriver to break it loose. Cover surface below microwave as bottom cover screws are small and easily lost. Remove three front and two rear screws from bottom cover and it will swing down. Locate the drive motor on the cover, disconnect the power leads, remove one set screw and rotate the old motor off the cover. Reverse instructions to re-install new motor. Swing bottom cover back up and re-install the five small screws. I had a little trouble lining up the screw holes and it helped to use a finishing nail to align the holes in the cover with those in the microwave frame. Reinstall plastic rotor on motor shaft, reconnect power to microwave and test the turntable.

Handle was broken at upper mounting screw
Removed upper screw easily. It was exposed upon opening the door. The lower screw was behind the plastic bezel that surrounds glass. Used thin knife to pry this part. Lower screw is then removed. The handle is then mounted with original screws.
