Nothing elaborate , just watched 2 instructional videos by 2 different gentlemen on YouTube. Both had the same issue I had and each used the same process of repair.
After I somewhat diagnosed the problem, a faulty control pad, I researched a source for a new control pad with a reasonable price. That was Partselect.com. The part was new, in stock and a good price. I had several delivery options, I chose standard delivery of 5-7 days. It arrived in 5. I removed the old panel in about 10 minutes and carefully installed the new pad. Turned on and it works fantastically.

bulb burned out light that is under the microwave, which lights the oven below.
thank you for the video--very clear, responsible, applicable although the illustration was not exactly of our kind of light. the bulb was exactly like the one Hotpoint used in its microwave made in 1989! I will come back to you for parts in the future. (You have the model # from my original order.)

Under the microwave there are two light bulbs that light up the top of the oven/range.
Last week I removed the glass cover that was held in by one screw and removed the burnt out light bulb. I ordered the bulb and left the glass cover off until the bulb arrived. I had to wait until this evening to put the glass cover back on and fasten the screw because I have a window right next to the oven and the sun streaming in made it too difficult for me to see how to put the glass back in and replace the screw.

Glass light lens cover was cracked
I first read the previously posted directions from other customers that were sent with my part order confirmation, which were all very helpful. Then, I basically used a screw driver to unscrew the screw holding the lens cover in place - be careful as it is a very tiny screw and it can easily fall behind your oven. You might want to place a large piece of cardboard over the space between oven and wall, as I did, so that you don't lose the screw in case it falls. Next I pried open the prongs, carefully slid out the cracked lens, and slid the new lens in place, pushed back the prongs and put the screw back in. I found that it was easier to use my fingers to first place and tighten the screw because it is very small and will keep falling out of place if you try to just use the screwdriver. Good luck!

Right hand surface lamp burned out. It apparently fald up and broke the glass cover. I wne on line when I found out the only local deaaler was some miles away and more expensive.
Simple. The parts came instantly. The glass was too big so I had it cut to size. I unscrewed the fixture with a screw driver replaced the bulb and slipped the glass cover into the frame and screwed the whole assembly in.
