Light worked, timer and control pad worked, but no turntable, no heat, no noises of any sort, just didn't start up
It was a snap using the instructions given. The key is getting into the unit. I did have to use a multimeter to find the failed switch since there are two of that type.

Grill assembly broke
I ordered this part from Part Select for my GE Microwave oven after Googeling it from the model number. They had the lowest price, so if you are reading this, just go ahead and order the part, you won’t find it any cheaper.

As far as the repair goes it was the easiest repair that I think I have ever made. It took me longer to unpack the part than to instal it.

There are two screws on the top of the microwave that hold the assembly in place. Just remove those two screws and slide the assembly to the left as there are three small hooks on the bottom that hold the bottom in place. To install the new assembly, I simply lined up the three bottom hooks and slid it to the right and replaced the two screws on top. I tested it and it worked perfect. Only tool was a Philips screw driver.

My only criticism is towards GE for designing the part this way. I seems to me that the two springs that hold the door shut have to much tension which causes the part to break. Seems like just making the springs with a little less tension or stronger spring attachments would solve this problem.

In our case getting access to the charcoal filter is complicated because the unit is mounted under an overhang of the kitchen cabinet.

Glass Turntable Coupler Broke Into 2 Pieces
Simple, simply lifted the old piece out of position and dropped the new piece in. A small part of the broken old piece must have fallen away and is still in the unit, but it has not gotten in the way of the new piece doing its purpose

Turntable not working
Easy. A little awkward getting to the part since microwave is over stove and not much room between range and microwave. Other than that, it was a piece of cake.

Oven failed to heat food.
Remove the microwave cover. Requires a phillips screwdriver and a torx security bit/nut driver (there are two security type screws on the back...guess they don't want you to do this at home!). I had to buy the a security bit set (about $7). The diode is easily accessible on the right side under the fan. Requires removing on small phillips screw and unplugging on electrical connection. GE provides some instructions in an envelope on top (after cover removed). There is a warning/instruction to discharge the capacitor before service. This was not a problem for me. Actual diode replacement took 30 seconds. Whole job = 15 minutes.
