JVM1660CH03 General Electric Microwave - Instructions

Removed 5 screws to allow lower pan to hang down. Unplug motor, remove 2 more screws that hold motor in and pull it out. and reverse process for reinstallation of new motor. Took all of 4 minutes allowing time to drink a beer while taking the new motor out of the box

First I removed the 6 screws that hold the bottom panel in place. I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires and then connected the two wires to the new element. Secured the element in place and replaced bottom panel.

This is the 3rd time I have used PartSelect to help me repair appliances I never thought I could fix on my own. it was easy . i unsrewed 2 srews and it went right in place

lowered bottom panel, unpluged turntable motor, unscrewed one screw. replaced old motor with new alinged turntable button. repluged motor wire and finished.

removed the damaged / broken rack holder. inserted the new rack holder.

I took it apart and found a small electric motor was not working . I couldn't find it locally so I ordered it from partselect and it was here in just a few days.the repair was easy only a few screws and plug it in.

Most mirco wave have a plate on the bottom to protect turn table motor. This one had no screws - it has 6 tabs holding the protective cover. Used pliers to tear tabs. Used philip's driver to remove screw and turned motor to come out. Went back in reverse order replacing motor. Left protective plate off

Removed five screws from the underside of the mircowave. Disconnected the two prong plug in. Removed the one screw that held the motor and replaced with new motor. Reconnected the plug and replaced the five screws
Tested the result with a bag of microwave popcorn. Worked perfectly.

I read several customer reviews before starting the repair. Removed the old drive motor to make sure I was ordering the correct part. Removal consisted of removing the screws on the bottom plate, disconnecting the electrical plug from the motor, and removing the one screw that attached the motor to the housing. Installation of the new motor was the reverse.

took screws out of bottom of microwave.dropped down bottom cover to get at drive motor I took out one screw droped down cooking tray motor disconnnected 2 wires reconnected put back up and put 1 screw in ,fastened bottom and was fixed very easy ,and parts select is the best place to find what you are looking for if I ever need parts this is where I will order from service is great and only took about 2 days to receive my part .I went to store where I bought my microwave and they wanted to sell me a new one.saved over $200

thank you for the video--very clear, responsible, applicable although the illustration was not exactly of our kind of light. the bulb was exactly like the one Hotpoint used in its microwave made in 1989! ordered part from partselect received in about 3-4 days removed 6 ea screws from lower panel , removed 1 ea screw holding motor in place, pulled wire receptacle loose from motor, threw old motor in trash, put new motor up into plastic tray rotating device turned motor to secure on one side and installed screw to hold motor reinstalled wire plug and panel ops ckd good about 15 minutes to do could have done it quicker but my eyes ain't what they use to be Very easy fix when you get the right part and I got it on the first order with partselect ......Thank You Very Much

Last week I removed the glass cover that was held in by one screw and removed the burnt out light bulb. I ordered the bulb and left the glass cover off until the bulb arrived. I had to wait until this evening to put the glass cover back on and fasten the screw because I have a window right next to the oven and the sun streaming in made it too difficult for me to see how to put the glass back in and replace the screw.
