JVM3670WF07 General Electric Microwave - Instructions

Replaced the fuse. Result; did not fix the problem.

remove cover-unplug wires from secondary switch-remove switch-snap in new switch-plug in wires-replace cover-works great. very easy to do.

Easy. A little awkward getting to the part since microwave is over stove and not much room between range and microwave. Other than that, it was a piece of cake.

Pull cover off , located the bad magnetron . Then replaced it with the new one. About 15 min. Of work.

Remove the microwave cover. Requires a phillips screwdriver and a torx security bit/nut driver (there are two security type screws on the back...guess they don't want you to do this at home!). I had to buy the a security bit set (about $7). The diode is easily accessible on the right side under the fan. Requires removing on small phillips screw and unplugging on electrical connection. GE provides some instructions in an envelope on top (after cover removed). There is a warning/instruction to discharge the capacitor before service. This was not a problem for me. Actual diode replacement took 30 seconds. Whole job = 15 minutes.

Removed the bottom panel from the microwave. Check to see if there was still power going to the turntable motor. There was still power there. Looked up the microwave model# on the website which showed a full display of the microwave parts. Selected the part. When the part arrived. Removed the bottom panel off the microwave. Removed the 2 screws holding the turntable motor in place. The new turntable motor was slightly different so I did have to cut a small slot in the new turntable motor so it would slide into the punched out slot so it would sit in the correct position. The job was still very easy and I complete the repair in about 20 mins. It was great to be able to do the repair myself and saved me some dollars. Once we figued out that you had to remove the panel underneath the microwave, pull down the turntable motor part and then insert to coupler it went really fast. Through trial and error we figured it out, but should have checked for installation instructions on the internet. Repair time would have been less than 15 minutes.

receive new grill remove old part from broken grill and installed them on new grill reinstalled on to microvave and ever thing is great Thank you...

every thing is working, but no hot

Uninstalled microwave from above range, removed cover then vent assembly (slide slightly to the left to free it). Opened the control panel (slide up then tilt forward) to access the troubleshooting/repair/test sheet. Followed the diagnostic flowchart and determined the TCO above the cooking cavity had failed. No other faults found. Ordered part Sat. afternoon and rcvd it Monday. Part is held in place with spring clips and quick connect terminals so installation was easy. Microwave was back in operation in no time.

First unplugged the microwave, took top grill off, took control panel off, took wires off and used color coded tape to make sure they went back in right places, took fuse out and replaced it and put every thing back and it all worked fine and to top it off my wife did it all. So it was pretty easy.

Microwave would not turn on. Lights and fan worked fine. Before the microwave stopped completely, it would turn the microware fan on even when door was open. I read the reviews and they were exactly the same issue that others were facing. Once I opened the front panel and got to the switches it was easy to figure out which switch was bad as it was the one that was soft (When clicking it). It was hard to take it out though (it seemed stuck). So, I used a plier to yank it out. I put in the new switch and everything worked just great! I would like to thank other comments that were left on the site to make my task much easier. Installation of the damper was effortless but removing the microwave, cutting holes vertically through an overhead cabinet then installing ducting with a ninety degree bend, through another cabinet, and then through outside wall consumed most of the time and effort.Your service, packaging, and timely (next day!) were extremely helpful.

It was a snap using the instructions given. The key is getting into the unit. I did have to use a multimeter to find the failed switch since there are two of that type.

After reading reviews that there was no power what so ever and a fuse replacement will solve the problem, I tried it. Replacing the fuse is very easy (and I am not handy at all). All you have to do is remove the microwave cover from the top by removing two screws, slide the cover to the left and pulling the cover off. Then remove the grill in front of you, by removing one or two screws. The fuse is in front of you, use pliers and be firm but gentle. Replacing the fuse is easy but it did not solve my problem.
