Turntable not moving, intermittent "grinding sound"
The microwave is installed above my gas range, and has a sheet that holds the vent screens and light bulb cover. I removed 3 screws holding this sheet in place at the front edge closest to me. The edge furthest from me (closest to the wall) had grooves that the sheet slid into. I could not set the sheet down on the counter as the electrical wire was anchored to the sheet and too short to reach the counter below. I used some jars to prop up the removed sheet so that there would not be any strain on the electrical wires. The wires connected to the motor with a bracket that was removable by hand. The old motor was mounted with one screw and a small arm that slid into a groove at the bottom of the microwave. I installed the new motor with the screw. At first I missed the groove and it was kind of crooked. I immediately detected and corrected my error . I made sure the piece inside the microwave that turns the turntable was aligned on the motor shaft. I closed it up and was delighted to see my food turning again!
By the way, the microwave is actually an Ewave, made by MC Appliance Corp., the makers of Magic Chef. It came with the house in 1994.

Microwave Turntable wouldn't turn
After unplugging the microwave, removed four screws from underneath the front of the microwave, and lowered the panel enough to disconnect the power connector. Then, pulled off the clips providing power to the Turntable Motor. Removed panel entirely to access Turntable Motor. Unscrewed both screws holding motor in place, removed old motor, replaced new motor (realigning the turntable plastic part), reconnected everything in reverse. 10 minutes and done.

Turntable would not spin when turned on
I downloaded the repair instruction as directed by your group and proceeded to complete the repairs. The wife had gone shopping so I was able to pull the unit from the wall and made the motor change quickly. If she were there to supervise I would still be doing the repairs. It was simple to search for the parts and order the material. I received the parts in about two days so this really impressed me for the delivery time. If I were to complete any other repairs on appliances my first stop would be to your location. Thank you for saving me from buying a new unit.

Turntable would not move.
First I removed 4 screws at the bottom of the microwave that holds the cover in place. Disconnected power at the front of the microwave with the 4 pin connector. Disconnected 2 wires at the motor. Removed 2 screws and took out motor. Put in new motor, reconnected 2 power wires and then the 4 pin. Put cover on with 4 screws. DONE. Total time: 7 minutes. (I took my time at this because I like to do it right the first time.) I saved $40.00 on the motor ordering it on-line and received it in less than a week. Thank You! I cannot say it enough, Thank You! Thank You!

Turntable motor was fired due to poor design of MWO, nothing keeps boilover out of the motor.
Unplugged the MWO from the receptacle. Cut the access plate from under the MWO, unscrewed and removed the old motor. Unplugged the two leads from the old motor and plugged them onto the new motor, screwed the new motor in place, secured the access plate with a tek screw. VOILA, MWO again.

Turntable gears stripped out, quit turning
I ordered the part on Thursday and received it the following Tuesday morning.
Taking the cover off the bottom of the microwave was really the biggest part of getting this done. There are a couple of special screws on the back that a regular screwdriver won't fit into, but I got them off with a pair of needle-nose pliers.
Unplugged the motor, took out one screw, lifted off the bushing inside the oven and just reversed the process to install the new motor. Piece of cake!
Putting the cover back on is the most time-consuming part, do it in the right order and finesse it.
Food is going quietly around now!
