GMC305PRT03 Whirlpool Microwave Oven Combo - Instructions

You will need a screwdriver and two pieces of duct tape (very important) before you start.
Unscrew the plate that attaches and keeps the element in place to the oven wall. If the screws are rusty, replace those too at this time.
Very gently pull the element and the wires out into the oven cavity. Do not tug. Gently remove one wire from the burnt element and use a piece of tape to stick it to the oven wall. If you lose the wire or if it slips back into the hole in the wall, you are in trouble. Repeat with the other wire. Now assemble the new element in the reverse order, one connector at a time. Screw back the holding plate, and you are done. Takes less than 10 minutes to complete and your oven will be as good as new.

I turn off the power in the breaker box and then unscrew the part and replace it with the new one

removed perimeter screws from the bottom side and the lower cover is hinged at the wall side. Motor is visible and easily removed with two screws. Take of the old one, install the new one, and reverse the procedure to put the bottom cover back in place. Will nee helper to hold one side of the bottom until couple of screws can be put in on the other side.

Opened overn door and inserted allen wrenchs through the holes in the door hinges. Close the door until it makes contact with the allen wrenchs, then grasp the oven door handle and the bottom of the oven door and lift up to remove the door. Place the door on a flat surface,(I used a bed) and remove the screws to gain access to the glass. Upon re-assesbly, leave door flat line up and re-install all screws before putting the front pannel back on. Insert door back into the oven and open, remove the allen wrenches and close the door. The process is easy and will take 30 minutes to an hour and save you a $100.00 service call!

Read the instructions in installation manual to remove door. Kept removing screws. Was surprised to find two panes of glass between the inner glass and the outer glass. Cleaned all the glass (4) and the inside of the door. Looks brand new. Be careful with the insulation; be sure it is pushed back or it will show from the outside.

Removed the small metal panel covering the main power terminal in back of the electric range. Removed the nuts holding the red, white and black electrical wires from the range using the appropriate socket (there will be two nuts on each bolt end). Removed the two screws holding the main power terminal block with appropriate screw driver. Connect the new main power terminal block to the range using the two screws. Reconnect the red, black and white electrical wires coming from the range using one nut for each wire. IMPORTANT: do no over tighten the nuts because the bolts could snap. Reconnect the pigtail and secure the small metal panel covering the main power panel.

Easily replaced after received the product from Part Select. Very satisfied.

I took the new tray out of the box and placed it in the microwave oven.. No tools needed.

After we put the latch pins in, the door was easily lifted off. We placed the door on the table and unscrewed the trim pieces. The new trim pieces went into place after we cleaned the door. We slipped the door back on the oven and removed the hinge pins.

Removed door to see what happened to the spring, ordered new spring and door frame on line and replaced parts. Had to replace door frame as it broke while removing it.
