unscrew and then unplug old element, then pug in and screw new element. Done

The repair was simple. Two screws and it popped in. The part arrived quicker then expected. Done in no time.

Backed out two screws, disconnected two wires from faulty element, connected wires to new element, screwed back into place. (New element was ordered by phone and received the next day.)

Turn off the oven's breaker. Remove oven grates. Unscrew two screws holding in the bake element. Slowly pull the bake element out a few inches. Using pliers, CAREFULLY unattach the connectors from the ends of the bake element. DO NOT FORCE OR CRUSH THE CONNECTORS. Using your hands only, attach the connectors to the ends of the new bake element. Re-insert the element into the back of the oven. Re-insert the screws to attach the new element to the back of the oven. Turn the breaker back on. Turn the oven on bake to test the element. Go have a beer to congratulate yourself on saving $75 or more. Should take about 10 minutes if you're proceeding slowly & carefully. It'll take 2 minutes if you're reckless and get lucky, but it'll take 2+ hours if you're reckless and all goes wrong, causing you screw up the connectors and need to go buy some plus crimpers, etc.

Used screwdriver to unfasten the old element from the oven frame. Then unplugged the two wire plugs from the back of the old element. Reversed the process to install the new. Couldn't have been any simpler.

First I made sure it was in fact the lower bake element that was broken. I turned the oven on & noted the element did not glow red. I also used a laser thermometer to verify the element was at "room temperature" for the room it was in (the oven - about 200 degrees, given what the upper bake element was contributing.)
And close visual inspection showed that a section of te bake element had melted thru where something had recently spilled onto it.
Swapping it out was easy - turn off the electrical breaker controlling the oven, unscrew the bake element, disconnect the electrical contacts to it (which required pliers, since they had been on a Looong time, and a little care to not use the pliers too hard & thus break the wires or contacts), then reverse the process to install the new element.

It works great now.

My husband undid the screws of the element. I went to Home Depot and they said I had to order in online. I could not find the part of the Home Depot website, so I googled the part and your business was easy to locate and order the part. It arrived in two days and I, the wife, was able to rescrew the element into place and, voila, the oven was functional again.

Removed the two sheet metal screws holding the element, Unplugged the contacts and plugged and fastened the new element.

FIrst of all I would like to say I was amazed at the quick service we received. I ordered the part at 1:00 pm on a Tuesday and my husband called me at 4:30 on Wednesday that the part had been delivered!! I was amazed.

My husband actually installed the bake element and it only took him a few minutes, the hardest part according to him was actually seperating the prongs of the old piece from the conncetion. Being that our oven is 24 years old could have something to do with that. Everything works just fine.

Pulled old one out, installed new one with a twist of the screw driver. Easy!!!

I removed the two screws for the bake element, diconnected the two wires attached to the bake element. I then reattached the wires to the new bake element, secured it with the two screws and I was done. It took five minutes and the oven works like new.

Unscrewed two screws, pulled the element out of the socket, pushed in replacement element, screwed in the two screws--done!

I removed the two screws that hold the element in place and then I pulled the element out and slid off the contacs and it was disconnected in less than two minutes. When it arrived I installed the new one the same way in less than 2 or 3 minutes and while I waited for thepart to arrive I got a chance to clean my oven and so all is well, I am very pleased with my purchase. The repair was easy. I turned off the power to the oven at he curcuit breaker. Using a phillips screwdriver, I removed the 2 screws that held on the old heating element. One screw came off easily. The other screw required a little WD-40 and alot of force, but I was able to get it off. I then removed the 2 wires from the terminals on the old element. Again, it required a little force and wiggling of the contact.

Reversing the process, I slid the contacts onto the terminals of the new heating element. Then, I screwed the backplate of the new heating element in place at the back of the oven with the 2 screws I had previously removed. I then restored power at the circuit breaker. The whole job took less then 10 minutes.
