keypad was malfunctioning
Turned off power. Slid the built-in microwave out, started taking screws out, couldn't find any manual for this so just took apart more than was needed. Replaced front keypad, replugged into motherboard and reassembled. Pushed back into cabinet and turned on power. Repairman wanted $700 to fix it, part was about $350.00

Both outside door handles turned very beige
Everything worked perfectly---thanks to the suggestion of your call center agent. She suggested that since the replacement door handles were no longer available, I should consider repainting them--it worked like a charm. Please tell her she was a life saver. We rent that house in Fl and my returning tenants had complained about the discoloring refer handles. Thank you

Broken door spring required removing the fron of the door
Removed the door frame by breaking it as there was no obivious way to get at a couple of the screws. Replaced the broken right spring as it was the original problem. Replaced the door frame by drilling a hole thru the exhaust tube of the regular oven mounted below the microwave.

The torsion spring broke.
I broke the outer window glass because the instructions didn't inform me that once a couple screws are removed the outer door glass can and will fall from the rest of the door piece and shatter on the ground! After paying $180 dollars to get the replacement I gingerly continued to dismantle the rest of the door to get to the torsion springs. Another issue with dis and Reassembly is the lower oven chassis heat exhaust vent is directly below one of the screws that holds the door together. I drilled a 1/4 hole that allowed the screwdriver to pass through the sheet metal exhaust vent! Plastic can and will crack, screws can and will get stripped and it would be wise to have an assistant to help hold it together during reassembly. Otherwise it's really easy and all you need is a Phillips screw driver! LOL

Broken torsion spring
To access the springs you have to take the outer door off. This is the stainless steel panel with the glass panel. On the inside of the door on the plastic panel near the top are two small screws. You must remove them. BEWARE the screws and two clips at the bottom of the door are the ONLY things holding the door on. I removed the two screws and the $160.00 door fell on the floor and broke. After ordering a new door I went back to replacing the springs ( one broke but I ordered both of them ). To get at the springs you must remove the plastic panel. To do this you must remove the plastic vent panel between the microwave and the oven ( 4 screws ). There are two screws holding the plastic piece on at the bottom. The one on the right is easy to get to, the one on the left is above the metal snorkel like vent. Inside the vent is a screw I removed it with a pair of pliers ( very tedious ). With the screw out move the vent to the right to access the second screw then remove plastic the springs go right in with no problem. Reverse procedure and you're done. Remember two screws on outer door and then it drops.
