Turned off circuit breaker (220) removed old element - replaced with new element.Very Easy - inexpensive and arrived fast.ordering was easy by using serial number.

TURN OFF POWER , remove oven door & oven wire racks, remove two retaining screws in back of coil and pull the burnt coil foward enough to remove the screws that hold the wires to the coil. You may have to drop one side of the front support bracket to move coil forward.Fasten the new coil to the broiler wires with the new screws provided. Push the new coil back into place being careful not to pinch the wires in the opening. Refasten coil to the oven back with existing screws that you removed. Refasten front support.Put racks back in and put door back on.Easy fix! Easy to order, easy to install and came within days from order date. Very pleased with whole thing.

It couldn't have been easier. "piece of cake. for safety, always turn the breaker off, remove the old one and install the new element. You can do it.

Nothing to it, all it took to remove four srews, remove the element and reassemble in reverse.

power off at breaker--removal of both elements from oven frame simple--then very short connecting wires and unremovable oven door prolonged replacement for poor access--works fine now--especially pleased w incredibly rapid receipt of parts from Part Select

Easy replacement: 1/4 in. nut driver to loosen two retaining screws, unscrew two wires. Assembly removed and replaced with new bake element. Attached wires, replaced two retaining screws and unit is ready to cook! Bake element is a perfect fit, easy replacement, with no prior experience required. I'm sure I saved quite a bit of money by repairing myself.

Turned off power to oven! Removed 2 screws and carefilly pulled element out about 2 inches then removed 2 more screws and removed old element. Installed new element. Done! It actually took me longer to type this than it did for the repair.

Removed the two screws holding the element into the back of the oven, pulled the element out about 6 inches, removed the screws holding the attached wires, attached the wires to the new element, pushed the element back and attached the two screws that now held the new element secure to the back of the oven.

1st step and most important. Locate the circuit breaker for the oven and make sure it is OFF. Used nut driver to remove the two screws holding the element mounting plate to the rear wall of the oven. Gently pulled element out to expose wiring attached to the element. Removed those two screws holding the two wires to the element and removed the old element. Simply reversed the process to install the new element. The entire exercise took 10 maybe 15 minutes.

Repair is pretty easy, its the accessability that makes it difficult. This is a wall mount oven. Removing the door would provide pretty good access, but having to reach over the door into the very top back of the oven is a real pain (in the back and other places). As another customer said, there were many dropped screws and much cussing. The old element terminals were just holes in a metal tab that accepted tapered screws. The new element had terminals that were threaded to accept the screws provided. It took lots of twisting and turning of the element and the power wiring to get the terminal on the wire lined up with the terminal on the element in a position where I could hold them together and insert the screw and start the threads. Don't try this after you've had a beer or two. Whew!!! Many tries, sore back, but did it. Like I said, simple except for the reach. Bake element was much easier. Hope I don't have to do this one again. My GE oven is a winner (20 plus years old) and Parts Select has what you need at a reasonable price and ships quickly. Have used before and will use again, if needed.

Easy if you have the right tools. Turn off the electricity to the oven. Remove two screws to release the element; pull the prongs out carefully so you don't damage the insulation. Unscrew the wiring from the old element. Attach wiring to the new element and secure with the existing screws. Ease the prongs back through the insulation and screw (you can use the existing screws or the ones supplied with the replacement part) the wall mount back into place, taking care to make sure that the element brackets are resting evenly on the oven floor. Turn electricity on and turn on the oven to make sure the new element is working properly. Easy. This oven is 25 years old--hope to get a few more years out of it.
