3 bolts hold the guard in place.

Murray schematic for this machine is incorrect and does not refernce replacement
Has not been repaired due to actual OEM replacement part discontinued. Still trying to resolve adaptation of a similar part if/when found on other B&S engine machines

Broken lower handle
Reverse of removing the broken part plus replacing two tie wraps.
