After removing the ice maker, I guessed that the moter could be the problem,bought new part I installed it and held my breath.thankfully that was it.thanks to parts select I saved a lot of money doing it myself.

removed icemaker timer/controler replaced with new part.reinstaled it works perfectly

My husband is a plumber...but did not have time to make the repair. So I took it upon myself!

Super Easy!

1. Unplugged Fridge
2. Unscrewed the 3 screws on motor
3. Pulled out old motor
3. Had to pour some hot water to melt ice cubes that were currently in the shoot. (because the new part would not line up correctly because of the frozen cubes inside the maker). Then soaked up all the water with towels.
4. Inserted the new motor
5. Put 3 screws back in.

ICE, ICE BABY! Within a couple hours it was dropping ice into the bucket! Husband came home, and I told him I fixed the ice maker (his expression was of dread)...and then he checked it out and all was perfect! So proud!

unpluged the refrigerator, remove three screws holding ice maker in place, disconnected wire clip, removed front of icemaker by relaesing two clips holding it in place. the module and motor assembly are held in place with three screws. put the icemaker together and replaced it in freezer, and pluged the cord back in. the icemaker started making ice in about 15 minutes. very easy fix

I took the front panel off the ice maker. Found the contacts on control board were burnt. I called Partselect, told them my model # and they directed me to a new control panel. 4 screws later I had part back on and ice makin.

Turn off water, removed two mounting screws, unplugged solenoid, removed incoming water connection and plastic pipe to ice maker. Installed new valve, connected water lines, reconnected plug, remounted with screws. Turned water back on, over rode power to ice maker and checked for leaks. Total time about 5 minutes. Very easy repair.

Very simple repair. Ice maker was operating, but not receiving water. Once new valve was in place it works like new.

I removed the two screws that hold the ice maker door. I then removed the single screw on the right underside of the ice maker. I depressed the plastic "catch" on the left underside of the assembly and the whole thing just pulled straight out. I then disconnected the wire harness.

The module cover is removed, then the module itself is easily removed by removing three screws.
The assembly is just as easy.

A few hours later, I had a half bucket of ice!

Removal of the Ice Maker required the removal of only one screw from underneath the maker and the power connector disconnect. Dis-assembly was straight forward. Remove old tray and heater, and reassemble with new tray and heater unit. Reinstall Ice Maker! Special Note: Allow the Ice Maker time to cycle through it's sequences. It may take a period of time before it starts producing ice after re-installation.

First I replaced the thermostat. (from this company.) Same thing happened. Then I thought the ice heater has too low voltage and does not melt it for extraction. So, I put a short on the relay on the beam receiver board. No difference. Then completely disassembled the ice maker, and discovered the shaft cracked on the plastic gear, which rotates the ice extractor. So, I ordered and received this control assembly. Put together the unit and having ice again. Due to the cracked gear the thing was out of timing. This gear drives the contactor for letting water in, freezing time, heating the ice, (so it slides out easily), etc

The first thing I would like to say is thank you Parts select for a very fast delivery. It was within 24 hours I received my component. The installation went very well. The main thing is to take each part off the old mold, one at a time and install it onto the new mold. Make sure to look at each part as it is mounted to the old mold and re install them the exact same way. Just be gentle with some of the plastic pieces because they are fragile in certain areas. The old water valve leak required me to purchase this new complete part. After shutting off the water supply, disconnect the supply line, take out the old water valve by disconnecting the "plug" from the refrigerator, and disconnect the plastic water line going into the ice maker. Then just reconnect the new water valve by plugging it into the 2 pronged receptacle, note to be sure to write down which wire goes into which input when disconnecting the old valve. Then hand tighten the plastic tube into the valve. Next attach your water supply line into the new water valve, tighten this supply line as you would any plumbing supply line with a couple of adjustable wrenches and some teflon tape at the connection. I would also recommend at this point, if the compression fitting on your supply line was like mine a bit old, to spend a couple bucks on a new fitting and put that on the supply line, since you don't want to worry about it being a good seal at the supply line point, once the repair is done. After checking for "no leaks" reattach everything to the rear of the refrigerator (make a note of the attachment before taking out the old valve) and see if your ice maker starts to make some ice. You will hear the valve feeding the water to the icemaker if all is properly setup.

The first issue was to determine if the problem was with the ice maker or the water dispenser / pump. I chose to try to repair the dispenser first since there air bubbles in the plastic line. Also, the ice maker seems to have been working. There just wasn't enough water so the ice cubes were hollow.

I unplugged the power cord, , removed the cardboard backing and two bolts that secured the pump to the refrigerator. I vacumned the area so I could see around. I pulled the valve out and disconnected it from the internal power source. I disconnected the copper water intake and the plastic tubbing to the ice maker. I used a pipe cutter to take the old flanged area off. A new flange was included in the package. I used that and reconnected the copper intake and the plastic tubbing. I replaced the power source and secured the valve to the refrigerator makeing sure the plastic tubbing wasn't twisted. When I plugged the refrigator back up, the ice maker started working within five minutes.

Remove the ice maker with two screws in the side and one screw in the bottom. You don't have to completely remove the side screws but you do have to remove the bottom screw.
Lift up on the ice maker and reach behind it and unplug the wiring harness. The tube that lets the water in is accessible from the rear of the fridge. Remone the water line, its only finger tight, and remove the two screws. Pull the tube up and out. Thaw it out with hot water and reinstall. With the ice maker out and on the table, pop off the front cover. Remove two phillips head screws and slide the cube tray off. watch how everything is placed before you slide it off. Slide on the new tray and reinstall all screws. Reassemble in reverse order that you took it out. Your ready to make ice...

Went very easy, watched the video from the web site and did what it showed to do and put it together and it worked.We now have ice.
