My line keeps advancing incredibly fast. Does this model require a certain gauge of line?

Hello Andrew, Thank you for the question. Yes, your model requires Fix Part Number: FIX12004833 also known as Manufacturer Part Number #: SF-080. It must take a.080" line if you are just going to replace the line. I hope this helps and good luck with your repair.

Hello Dana, thank you for your question. No. The cap FIX12094047 secures the spool into the spool housing. It is released by pressing the two tabs on either side, and is reattached by lining up the tabs and pressing in. We hope this helps.
