Cracked plastic handle on Trash Compactor
Replacement handle fit perfectly, removed the old one by taking out two screws. I was glad that the part was still available, although a little pricey, because the unit has to be at least 25-30 years old or more.

Washer wouldn’t drain and spin
First used wet vac to get water out. Unplug electrical cord. Shut off water and unhook lines. Unhook drain tube. Flip over on side. Take belt cover off. two screws.
Took photos of parts removing just for re- install. Ordered parts from part select.com. Came in Two days. The dealer was on 12 days I gave up on them. I removed actuator two easy screws and pulled off electrical connection no tool needed. Then removed pump three longer screws Than other part. Make sure to label them in a ziplock baggie. Plus I removed hose clamp with pliers slide Back on hose and pull hose off. Then remove electrical connection on pump. If it makes you feel better label each with masking tape so I know where each connection goes. Then replace pump first with new one. Make sure you push it in hard then the screws. Don’t over tighten. Plastic parts break. Hook back up hose slide clamp back over fitting end with pliers. Hook up wire connector. Next hook up actuator. Two screws wire connector and your done. Put belt guard back on. Socks can get caught under washer get in belt and cause major issue. Then you need to reconnect water lines. Make sure hot goes to hot. Cold to cold. Drain hose hook back up. Plug in power cord. Now the fun part. Run a diagnostic and then calibration. See you tube videos it’s like 3 clicks to left then two to right with selector knob. Write down the exact amount of clicks and steps. It works. Be sure to turn knob 4 times to left to clear it like a combination lock. Don’t let the noises scare you it makes all
Kinds of sounds while calibration goes on.

Broken handle
Removed 2 screws, pulled out old handle, inserted new drawer handle and replaced the 2 screws.
The drawer handle that was delivered was black and not brown. Black was the preferred color because the old handle was black.

Broken plastic handle
Someone pulled a Conan on the compactor handle and broke it loose--no one admitted doing it but I have my suspicions. Since the compactor was installed during the first Bush administration, I assumed that the part would be unavailable. I tried to glue it with the latest "super" bond epoxy/space shuttle goop and it would not hold. A friend tried to plastic weld the crack--it worked until Conan showed up again and ripped it loose. I was ready to look for a new compactopr but since it had an insert that matched the custom cabinets--that I knew would not fit on a new unit--I looked on the internet for a part.
The part number was entered, the part was in stock and the order placed on Sunday afternoon. The part arrived on Tuesday and was installed in less than two minutes. It was the high point of the week.

broken handle
It is held on with three screws. The PartSelect was the only web site that showed me a picture of the part I wanted. The other web sites said it was no longer made. It was shipped out the day I ordered it, and took a minute to install it. Will order again from your company - great service - thanks.

We had a newly cracked handle on a 36 year old trash compactor.
Took under 5 minutes to unscrew old handle and screw on the new one. Identical part to old handle, compactor looks and works like new!

Broken handle
Unscrewed old one. Slide new one in. Screwed in two screws. Done. The handle ended up being black, even though the part was listed as brown.... that is good, because the original part was black.
So glad you had the part. It was pricey, but way less than a new trash compactor!

Handle had cracked
So impressed with this Company. Was about to buy new trash compactor, because we couldn't find a handle for an old Frigidair. Found website and on Friday ordered part (only $57...a new compactor would have cost $800). Part arrived ONE DAY LATER and was immediately easily installed by taking out old part which involved unscrewing it and installing the new one using the existing screws. THANK YOU.

The handle was broken and needed to be relaced.
I removed 3 screws from the back and 2 smaller screws from the sides. I removed the broken handle, installed the new handle and inserted the 3 screws. The 3 screw hole aligned perfectly. The replacement part did not have predrilled holes for the 2 side screws so I drilled the holes and inserted the 2 smaller screws. Job done in short time.

Drawer handle was broke.
The repair was simple and expensive for a little piece of plastic that was the wrong color and only color available. We have a white trash compactor and had to order a black one. The hardest and most time consuming part of the repair was painting the handle. In order to paint a Black Plastic handle white we had to use special primer and special paint. Before using the primer, we had to wash the plastic handle with paint thinner, then rinse and let dry completely. Other than the cost and the aggravation, it was fine. And it was less than buying a new one. : )
