The repair was a snap. I popped the old control panel out and snapped in the new one. PartSelect delivered the part in two days.

stop-basket was broken
I stuck the new stop-basket in the hole where it belonged.

the electric flashed off and on about four times and freezer would not come on at all afterwords. t
on the internet i checked with crosley parts trying to get an idea what the problem could be. i went to trouble shooting and after discribing the problem i was not at all surprised to see that there was only one sulution. to replace the control unit on the outside of the door.I ordered a new one and when it arrived i installed it and the freezed started working as it should again.
