Compressor motor not starting/running
Unplugged freezer, used digital multimeter to test defrost thermostat, temperature sensor, start/run capacitor and start/run relay for compressor motor. Found ohms values for start/run capacitor to be out of range and carbon traces on relay base where capacitor connects. Replaced capacitor and relay. Plugged freezer in and compressor immediately started running. On mid-range temp setting, empty freezer, temperature alarm light went off in 3 hours. Freezer has been functioning properly since repair was made. My husband is a licensed elevator mechanic with a background in electrical troubleshooting. He tested the components and completed the repairs.

Warm out door gasket.
Had to lossen around 60 screws to allow for the old gasket to be removed. Then I began the process of inserting the new gasket by fitting it into the gasket channel opened when I loosened the 60 screws. I inserted the gasket a little at a time making sure it was properly fitted then I tightened that part and then do the next part until I finished replacing the gasket.

Missing key
After removing the key from its shipping package I pushed it into the freezer locking slot and turned it to lock and unlock the lid and then removed it. I had no problems with this fix. Of course, I am an older gentleman with a lot of experience in repairs around my house,as well as other houses. I am sure that a less experienced person may have more of problem with this type of "repair".

Cooling coils would ice up and fridge would warm up
I removed the shelves in the freezer, took out the five 1/4" screws and lifted off the cover. It was a simple matter of using a blow drier to remove all the ice, then unplugging the two wires and unclipping the thermostat from the upper cooling tube. Then clipped the new one on and reconnecting the two wires.

Works great!!!
