Broken plastic shaft on food processor.
The old broken shaft sleeve did not want to come off. Had to cut it off with a Dremel. Once the old plastic shaft sleeve was off, the new shaft sleeve went on fairly easily. I believe that the shaft sleeve should be made out of aluminum rather than plastic. If that were the case it never would have broken the way the old one did.

Replacement bowl cover for food processor
I own a great old Kitchenaid food processor. The bowl cover was no longer keeping food in. When I ground cheese, it would spew all over the place if I did not hold the cover down (which i would occassionally forget to do). I was considering purchasing a new food processor, when someone suggested that I try parts select. I was easily able to locate the correct part and for 20 bucks it's like new...saving me about 200.00.

The lid to my food processor broke & I lost the disc support for the shredding discs
The repair was easy as there was no need to use tools. The shocking part was that my order was received on the day after I ordered it. The prompt shipping was totally unexpected and I was happy that it woreked out so quickly.

Bowl cover broke on Food Processor, which actuates the Switch
I contacted Kitchenaide, and they no longer carry parts, so I ordered from PartSelect and installed the new cover.,
I saved about $190, by repairing instead of purchasing a new Food Processor.

Shaft was stuck and would not turn
My wife made a lot of salsa with tomatoes. The tomato juice ran down the shaft and rusted it to the point that it froze up in the oil-lite brash bearing. I could not get the old shaft sleeve off without cutting it with a dermal tool. Next, I pried out the three plastic screw cover on the base of the machine and loosened the three screws that hold the motor assembly to the plastic base. I also removed the bottom of the plastic housing. Since the shaft was frozen in place with rust, I put some light oil around the shaft and let it soak for an hour. Then I got a block of wood and placed it on the top end of the shaft and gently hit it with the hammer several times until the shaft exited the brass bearing. Next I took some emery cloth and cleaned the rust from the shaft. I got some bearing grease and lubed the shaft and reassembled the unit. I put plenty of grease on the area where the shaft exits the base to prevent any future juices running down the shaft. Finally, I pressed on the shaft sleeve and assembled the top processing plastic bowl and lid and powered it up and it worked. This KitchenAide machine was so well built compared to current available models of any brand that I could not see tossing it out. It had to be fixed and I did it. Could not have done it without the availability of parts through this site.

My disc support, somehow turned up missing.
I unpacked the part and slipped it in place. Took less than 5 minutes. I searched for over a month for this part and your site was the only one that carried a replacement for it.

broken food processor bowl and cover
Kitchenaid uses multi-piece plastic parts for their food processors. Over time, the seams start to come apart both on the bowl and cover allowing liquids to shoot out the gaps and make quite a mess.

The mixer bowl needed replacing
Parts select staff were wonderful to work with. It took 4 months to get my mixer bowl; however, this was a problem with the manufacturer. Everytime I called par Select to question HOW LONG; WHEN; I got a warm and supportive person who helped me contact the manufacturer for an ETA. I finally have my bowl; I will use PartSelect in the future!
