I have a Breville bes840xl, 3 years old. I make 1 latte/day. A week or so ago there is steam from the wand for frothing. When i try to press coffee, there is very little water/coffee coming through the group head. With no coffee in the portafilter i do get some volume, but very little with grounds in.Any idea of what may cause this issue? weak pump (or do they just die?), clogged line?
For model number BES840XL
Hello Lawrence, Thank you for your inquiry. Researching the model number that you have provided, we would recommend first checking the filter and soaking it in a solution of vinegar and water to remove any clogged debris, and also flush the lines with vinegar to remove any debris. We also recommend checking the pump and seals for any visible wear and tear. We hope this helps.
