Dryer drum stopped spinning
Dryer drum stopped but all other elements seemed functional; couldn't afford new dryer. Unplugged appliance & moved it to my garage (more room to move about). Undid base plate w/tools and found belt slack - identified broken idler pully wheel as part to fix. Went online & found part-select, located part & was way happy: $7.00 part + $7.00 shipping; got part 3 days later. Removed broken pully wheel (take off lock-washer, put wheel on, reinstall lock washer). Cleaned out venting elements (huge lint-ball & some sand in blower intake area). Re-attahced base. Back on-line to see "replace dryer belt" instruction sequence; opened lid of machine (while verticle) and positioned belt properly. Located access port (sealed) at base, knocked out the circular metal plate so I could reach in & thread the dryer belt back around motor & idler pulley wheel. Did test spin (manually) to make sure belt properly threaded, in place. Move appliance back to proper location, plugged in & hooked up venting to outside; ran test & SUCCESS!!!! It even seemed to dry better because of the now cleaned venting area. Labor cost = $0, Part cost < $15.00, Time (actual work) bit over 3 hours total.

water leaking from pump
Removed the clips. Pulled out the old pump. After trying to get the new pump on the shaft of the motor, I realized that some corrosion had built up on the motor shaft. I got a small tack hammer and very lightly tapped the shaft to remove the corrosion. The pump then slid on the shaft with no problem. Replaced clips. Job complete.
The corrosion on the shaft cracked the plastic piece where the shaft connects and this is what caused the problem in the first place.

Switch did not turn off dryer when door opened
Switch can be removed from outside of dryer and your video described the repair as having to work from inside dryer. But since wires were still attached to old switch, it could be popped out and wires switched. Since there were three wires on new switch to allow it to turn on and off a circuit, it was useful to check the resistance of the switch compressed or released to be certain I was attaching the two wires to the right two poles of the new switch. But that all required only a couple of minutes. Thank you.

Dryer stopped heating
I removed the screws that hold the element in place. I disconnected the wires. I took the new part, which was easy to identify and order, assembled per instructions, and attached it to the wires in the dryer, then screwed it in. I normally let my husband do these repairs, but he wasn't available. It was easy and the dryer works perfectly again!

Dryer runs but doesn't heat
No heat usually means a bad heating coil. Removed the heating coil and found a burnt element. Searched the internet looking for best price and fastest delivery. Ordered heating element and fuse kit from PartSelect on Tuesday, received parts on Thursday. Installation was quick and easy. Saved at least $100 using PartSelect!

dryer temperatures appear too hot at all settings
removed lower front panel, two screws on bottom edge. Limit thermostat located on lower portion of vertical panel at rear of dryer. I was able to detach the two wires and removed the two thermostate retention screws with a nut driver. Since I could only operate with one hand, I taped the new thermostat in place lining up the screw holes in order to replace the two hex screws. reattached the two wires and front panel.

Direct drive pump was leaking
I watched the video from the web site, decided that pulling the whole case was more work than needed. I tipped the washer back at about 45 degrees so that I could get under it and braced it so that it would not fall back fwd. Put a medium cooking bowl under the pump, used a channel locks to remove the 2 spring clamps that where around the hoses and slide the hoses off and let the water drain into the bowl. Then used a medium straight slot screw driver to release the clips from each side of the pump and slid the pump off the shaft. If you turn the clips 90 degrees they will slip out and had to remove the upper clip to get the pump out. Lined up the pump and the shaft making sure that the flat side of shaft and pump lined up and slid it on. Reinstalled the pump clips and slid the hoses back on the pump slide the clamps back in place lowered the washer and test ran it for leaks. Great Job NO leaks. Whole job took me less than 30 minutes.

Door safety switch would not close keeping dryer from running
Shut off or unplugged dryer for safety.
Slipped thin blade putty knife up under bezel of switch to unlatch from the panel and pulled forward to remove the swwitch from the dryer. Unplugged the quick connect terminals (3) from the old switch and plugged them onto the new switch. one of the terminals had gotten quite hot and darkened the insulation so it was replaced with one that was supplied with the switch. that was a cut, strip, crimp process. Placed the new switch into the panel and snapped into place.

Dryer would not tumbel under heavy load
First unplug anf turn off the gas to the dryer.
1. Remove the 2 screws located at the bottom of the front panel.
2. Use a flat head screw driver to pry the top of the dryer lid. The clips are pretty strong. This allows the front dryer panel to be removed.
3. Remove the 4 screws that hold the front of the drum ring in place.
4. Slide drum belt off of motor. Not the belt path before removing it.
5. Remove drum. This will give you complete access to the dum support roller.
6. This is a good time to vaccum the inside of the dryer.
7. You will need a pair of snap ring plyers to remove the snap ring that holds the roller in place.
8. Replace roller.
9. Reverse installation.
10. It runs great and has not been the quite in 10 years.
I would definitely use Parts Select again.
The parts shipped quickly and correctly.

Loud Screeching noise when draining water
On this model, no need to tip washer on back. Tilt console back and disconnect lid switch. Remove two clips holding back to top of washer (under console). Then remove top and front as directed in the video. The pump is accessible from the front of the unit, just below the tub. Hose clamps are easy to remove/replace. Took more time to wipe inside of washer clean than to remove/replace the water pump. Total time was just over 30 minutes.

Noisy
Remove front of dryer, remove old felt from front of drum and install new seal. A small piece of tape to help hold the felt seal in place while installing is helpfull. Reform seal and reinstall the front of dryer in reverse order...My hands don't work to well and yet it only took 30-45 min.
