First watched the video you sent me then changed out the parts in question. Slicker than pig snot on a door handle! Once back together we did a load of laundry. The unit worked like the day it was new.

No Heat
Every thing worked just no heat. Ordered the heating element without taking it apart. It arrived in 2 days. It wasn't the heater. Ordered the Thermal Cut-Off kit. It also arrived within 2 days. Due to my recovery from back surgery my niegbor put the parts in both times. So two disassembly and two assemblys. Total time was about 30 min. for both. Used only a 1/4 in nutdriver both times. Works like a dream.

Easy fix with thermal cut-off kit and cycling thermostat. I am not mechanical but the video was a great help. Even a meatball like me could do it!! But be very careful as the sides of of the back plate are very sharp and I cut my hand when putting it back on.

Open door would not stop dryer drum rotation
Remove the Lint filter screen from the dryer Remove 2 screws from lint filter housing, and top of dryer. Lift the entire top.(clips hold dryer top in place-dyou may have to carefully pry the top loose from the clips) Open dryer door and remove 2 screws from switch assembly on right side top of door opening. Remove switch by disassembling the wire connector. (pull apart) Then, connect the new switch assembly and align over the two screw holes on the dryer door frame with the switch trip arm in proper position. Insert the screws and tighten carefully. Be sure the the switch is securely tightened so it will not loosen during normal use of the dryer door. Lower the dryer top and press down to secure top on place with the clips. Re align the lint filter housing to insert the screws previously removed. Carefully tighten the screws securely, then re-insert the lint filter.

Dryer taking 3 or 4 cycles to dry clothes
Removed the old thermal cut-off and installed the new thermal cut-off. The thermastat was just a tad bit more difficult because I had an extra wire that i need to strip off and then crimp with a new connector. Once that was done I installed the new thermastat in the same spot as the old one.
