Watched a repair video. Very easy to replace, about an hour to repair.

I watched a YouTube video with how to take the dryer apart and remove the sensors. I followed the what the instructions were removing the top of the dryer and then the front panel. Once that was removed it was a matter of removing 7 more screws and the lint collector piece came off. Popped the sensor pieces out. Cleaned the inside of the dryer and reinstalled a total of 5 parts and dryer is working fine and the clothes are drying in the allotted time it use to take.

My cleaning lady brought her handy husband over Saturday to help me. The only tool we used was a Phillips-head screwdriver. I went online earlier in the week and found a good video put out by Repair Clinic and another one I found on You-tube on how to disassemble the dryer. After watching several times, I knew I could do it. We worked together, I cut my hand on the inside edge of the control panel, but, when I hit a snag, we watched that part of the video again and worked right through. Replaced the Thermistor, NTC first, not a problem. Then the Heater Assembly, not too difficult. I couldn't find where one of the remaining parts went, so, we reassembled the dryer and gave it a try. Worked like a charm. We did remove a lot of lint from inside the cabinet and around the felt liner on either end of the drum. It works like it did when it was brand new. Highly recommend to work with someone, so, you don't get frustrated. I am 65 years old and this was a no brainer for me, although I am somewhat mechanically inclined. Very empowering to accomplish this repair. Just follow the video.

To install the repair part took about 5 minutes. It took a couple hours to take apart of put back together. Unfortunately the part I replaced was not the problem. I still have no heat. My own fault for not testing the parts before ordering. It seems there is no ignition of the gas for the hot air flow. I would be grateful for any suggestions. The video was FABULOUS...really step by step, screw by screw. Thanks for that. Barb Swenson

I did as I was told (by my wife). Bought the machine from Home Depot - no side vent kit - had them complete the installation today when the kit came.

After replacing the wires and the heat thermostat I realze that I needed to replace the thermostat ntc and the thermostat to blower located under door was burnt during fire. I removed front panel,front facing and tumbler to reach thermostat inter wall. It was easy after fixing to other area prior. I thought it was very easy and didn't cosume much time. I'm a women and it was easy to fix.

Removed the exhaust duct screw and removed the duct. Hardest part of the repair was reaching in one-handed to remove the screws for the parts. Make sure that the screwdriver is magnetic. Changed parts and dryer working better than it has in months.

First I just replaced the ignitor on a hunch, (disassembly was easy once I saw the video) I also examined the high limit thermostadt and found it was tripped, so I reset the button. the dryer fired up, but soon the thermo tripped again. I found that I could reach it with my arm placed in the inspection port,( about a 4 inch diameter pop out) make sure you unplug first, find the button near the ignitor, and pop it in. the high limit thermo was only holding a few seconds, so I decided to replace it, and did a "shot-gun" approach, replacing all thermos and thermisters at once, only about 35 bucks delivered...BTW, PartSelect shipped them to me at the speed of light.....one day ! Ireplaced all thermos and did and extra scrulpoulous cleaning of the vent. NOTE: it is completely possible that ahe only problem was a reduced vent capacity cmbined with summer heat leading to tripping the high limit thermo....however the thermo was tripping waaaay too easil in my opinion. Anyway, I celebrated doing 10 loads of piled up laundry, and basking in the glory of my wife's admiration for saving a $1000. appliance replacement. "how did you know how to do this honey?" Seemed to be shutting off on the safety thermostat so I replaced them all. Works.

Removed the heating element, tested it, purchased a new element and installed.

Removed Top, then front and drum. Parts easy to access once drum is out. Recommend reading up on drum replacement. Would appear that all repairs will require taking it out.

I first took the top off, then the front control panel, unplugged the wires from panel (very easy), took the front panel off, the rum comes out very easy, be sure to look at the way the belt goes back on the pulley. I didn't and it took me a while to figure it out. All goes back together very easy.
