After identfying that the problem was due to a damaged drum support roller, I decided to replace the bad roller instead of replacing the dyer itself.

The first thing was to remove the front cover
and the front panels to expose the drum. (Only a few screws hold them in place.) Next, the drum was removed by first releasing the belt from the motor pulley and tensioner, and then pulling the drum straight out.

At this point the two rollers would be exposed. The triangular plastic retaining locks were removed by slightly prying them off. The old rollers were then removed and replaced.

Before putting everything back, this was a good time to vacuum all the accumulated lint inside, especially the lint that had accumulated around the motor assembly and the fire box.

(A pleasant surprise: I found a lot of coins inside the unit, enough to recoup half of what I spent for the new rollers.)

Took dryer apart. Should've started with You tube videos so I took more apart than I needed.

Got all the parts I needed from Parts select.

Fixed it and works great.

I unplugged the dryer and took the back off the appliance.
I looked online to see what the problem probably was. I saw a diagram of where the heating element was. It had two small screws holding the element on. I removed them and detached three wires from the side of it being careful to write down what wire went where.
The part select repair site popped up on an internet search so I ordered the heating element, and the fuse and thermostat and another piece. Some of the wires were loose at other places so I reattached them and tightened them. I think the only part the dryer actually needed was the piece about a foot up from the heating element.It was in the thermal cut off kit that I ordered. After replacing the other three parts, I replaced that and the heat came on. Eureka! I love my cordless screwdriver. It made taking the screws out and reinstalling them a breeze. I did notice on this dryer that it says to only use a metal vent, not foil or plastic as they can be a fire hazard. I bought the dryer for forty dollars on craigslist and have spent about a hundred and fifteen dollars fixing it up including a new dryer belt and door latch. I am looking foward to repairing something else. From a 50 year old lady. It was easier than making biscuits.

Removed the drum then removed the old parts and installed the new ones. Dryer now runs very quite and heats good. You have very fast service my mother ordered the parts on the net one day and I received the parts next day and did the repair that night and dried clothes. Thanks,

removed back of dryer heat element was easy to remove and replace with new unit,easy job

removed door and front panel this exposed all the control devices I changed out the thermostat ndn repaired the dryer

Bought the heater element and was fortunate to see a video of "how to" replace. Was quite straight forward really. Just needed a 1/4 inch socket...with preferably an extension to take off the back of the dryer. the only thing that was a little different in real life from the video was taking off the thermostat from the heater element. I used a screwdriver to bend the metal fork back so I could remove it. Other than that, I was done in 40 minutes.

The replacement was SUPER easy, and way cheaper than a new dryer. Many people will buy a new dryer rather than mess with the hassle of a part. The biggest hassle of this part was the size confinement of the space. Other than that, I feel like I have a brand new dryer!

Took my VOM and did a continuity test on the heating coil and thermos switch. Heating coil was open

Took back cover off, unhooked wires,removed screws,removed heating element,put new element on and reinstalled everything else..Now it has great heat!

Took of the btm pan and the top to be able to remove the front. Raised the drum enough to replace the right hand wheel. ( the old ones had already been removed) Replace the left hand wheel and bracket. Re assemble the machine. Worst part was trying to do all this with the can of beer in one hand!!

Pulled Dryer away from wall and unplug. Removed back cover. Used my ohm-meter to check fuse ok. Then checked heater element no continuity. Removed two screws and three wires holding unit in place. Visibly checked coils and found break so I knew that was the problem. Ordered heating element and replaced in reverse order. Solved the problem now have dryer that works again.

Checked components that could be the problem as shown in the trouble shooting video, such as the fuse or thermal overloads. All of these checks are done with the multi-meter in the resistance (ohm) mode. All checks were good until the heating element check showed no continuity. Removed the heating element and could visibly see the break in the coil. Ordered the heating element. Installed it. The dryer works fine now producing heat as it should. THESE CHECKS ARE DONE WITH ELECTRICAL POWER TURNED OFF, UNPLUGGED, DISCONNECTED. FOLLOW INSTRUCTION VIDEO. Thankyou

Read this site and saw many fixed the problem with a new thermostat. Ordered one and it was simple to replace. Just removed the back panel of the dryer and the thermostat is right there. Two screws to remove it, swap the four wiring plugs onto the new one, reinstall it. Unfortunately that didn't fix it so went back online and ordered the coil kit, another common solution. Removed front of dryer by removing the two screws the hold the lint trap onto the top and the two hinge plate screws on back of dryer to tilt the top up ward and backward. Removed two mounting screws on inside of dryer front and slip front panel upward to remove. The coils are right in the front down at the bottom left of dryer.Used an offset screwdriver to remove the two screws holding them in place. They slide right out, one has two prongs, one has three. Replace them with the new coils and put them back in place. Reassembled and everything works now. Grand total of eight screws removed and replaced, pretty simple. I'd recommend buying two or three parts if you see several parts as possibilities for a repair. Easier than doing it the dummy way like I did!

Attributed excessive noise to age of dryer, upon closer inspection, a dish towel had become caught at rear of drum because the drum support rollers were damaged causing the drum to create a space in the rear of the drum. This was large enough for the dish towel to be caught. Originally I thought that the thermal fuse had blown the circuit-which should occur in an overheating situation-however the loose drum had worn through the electrical wire leading to the door switch because it was not properly seated on the rear drum rollers. the wire was repaired with a wire nut, rear drum rollers were installed and it is working again. thank you for the extremely fast shipping
