I started by changing the part that had the highest percentage to solve this problem , the top three didn't work , the fourth part, the disposable thermostat, and the last one that could be done from the front worked.

Dryer would not light
I thought it had to be the igniter so I replaced that part. The dryer still did not start. I replaced the high limit and hoorah dryer works. Two weeks go by, the dryer is drying the clothes but my wife smells gas in the laundry room. I replaced the coil pak on the gas valve. My wife says she still smells gas. I replaced the radiant flame sensor and no gas smell for 2 weeks now.

The board went out.
Took off the top and took out 3 screws that held the board in. Unplugged all the connectors and plugged the new board in and put cover back on board and put the screws back in. And put top on.

Flame did not cycle on and off as it should. It only came on once so clothes did not dry.
After the Radiant Flame Sensor was installed, the problem remained. An appliance repair person then replaced both coils, and that fixed the problem.

Both outside door handles turned very beige
Everything worked perfectly---thanks to the suggestion of your call center agent. She suggested that since the replacement door handles were no longer available, I should consider repainting them--it worked like a charm. Please tell her she was a life saver. We rent that house in Fl and my returning tenants had complained about the discoloring refer handles. Thank you

dryer hummed and would not turn on
after removing 2 screws securing top of dry i isolated the humming noise to the electronic board. Dryer would not turn on but drum light would work. 2 screws hold the electronic mount, and 1 screw hold electronic board. all electrical connection on board easily unplugged. connected new board installed in mount with 1 screw and then installed mount with two. plugged in and pressed power switch and electronic timer came up and dry started at the press of cycle start knob. the key to this repair was the stuck relay humming sound being generated by the either the relay or transformer on electronics control board.

Our dryer would not ignite, so I figured it was the radiant flame sensor. Well, I out that in and still nothing. I found out that the Tube Burner was also burned off on the flame end, by the igniter. I also ordered that part. installed it, and it works beautifully.
On the Amana dryer, I had to remove the top panel. then the front panel to access the burner assembly. I also had to remove the gas pipe coming to the burner, because I replaced the tube burner assembly at the same time. There is only one screw that holds that back end of that gas pipe. The thermal flame sensor is on the left side of the burning chamber, with only one small Phillips head screw. just remove the 2 wires, keeping track of which terminal they belong. Just twist the sensor out of the small slot, and out it comes. The tube burner assembly is fastened with 2 screws. The entire burner assembly comes out in one piece, but be real careful not to bang the igniter when removing it. The coil assembly has 2 wires, which you cannot get wrong, because one has 2 prongs, the other has 3 wires. The local repair shop wanted 90 bucks per hour, plus parts, and I installed both the burner tube and radiant flame sensor for around $80.

I feel like I have a new dryer now. I replace 3 of the 4 main components using parts select. Not only did they ship next day, but the tutorial videos with Steven were right on the money and self explanative.

Display was lit but, drum would not go
You know! I forgot exactly where it was i got the info to fix the problem but, "Parts select" was mentioned. Once I had an idea as to what to do I then, wasted time around town looking for the parts with no results. I then did what I should have at first an ordered the parts from Parts select. got them in the mail, lightning quick! I think I may have found the info here as well, not sure. (this site is awesome None the less) but the info led me to the Thermostat, I then jumped it as indicated and wham!! it ran. Order both the thermostat and thermistor. only problem I ran into was, removing the front display panel. broke some of the retaining clips off in the process. all in all, it was an easy fix that saved me a bunch of dough. greatfull to parts select for a speedy deliverie and to the website that made it possible. think it may have been here at the free repair help, section. awesome and highly recommended thanks!!!

would not heat up to dry had clicking noise
Dryer was real easy to get into, there are two 1/4" screws on top back of dryer that you can take out to take off the top. The elec. control board is on the left front of mach. it takes about 2 or 3 mins. to take out with a screw driver. I suggest that you go ahead and pull front of dryer off and clean it out if possible as the inside of mine was full of lent. There are only 4 or 5 screws holding the front on, the door will come off with front cover. It is also very easy to check all the sensors and the heating element if you have a multi meter. I hope this will help Oscar
