Lint filter has never been replaced.
This wan't a repair. It was simply a part replacement for a part that was easily accessable. I was more pleased at the fact that I could find the part considering how old the dryer is.

Lint filter was tearing up
Easy as steps 1 & 2, remove old filter & replace w/ new.
It fit perfectly which was my main concern, as I could not tell from picture if the length was correct.
I am very pleased w/ product & it works just fine..

The lint filter was ripped in multiple locations
I just replaced the old filter with the new filter and I wonder why I didn't order a replacement filter sooner.

Lint Filter had developed holes in the filter
Pulled the old filter out of the door of the dryer and then removed the new filter from the shipping box and took the new Lint filter out of the packaging and then slipped the new lint filter into the lint filter holder and started up the dryer and away we went on our happy way. Thanks to all of you guys and gals at PARTS SELECT.

The wire mesh on the lint filter separated from the frame and lint was getting inside the dryer.
Took the old filter out and inserted the new filter which was a near perfect fit on a 36 year old dryed that is still kicking! Delivery of the part was less than 24 hours after ordering over the phone. Thanks1

Noise when dryer spins
unknown
25 year old GE dryer started making strange scraping noises when running. This even when there were  no items in the appliance. Turning off the gas, and unplugging the power I disassembled the unit to find the nylon drum bushings worn down. Especially the felt like material under them that I think dissipates friction heat. A quick order to GD for the parts, 2 days later I had the part installed, and noise was gone.

Replace heater coil and drum slides
I removed the screws holding the top on and screws holding the front panel and rear access panel. I then removed the 3 screws holding the drum. I proceeded to take the belt off then lift the drum out. I replaced the heater coil and then the slides. I reassembled the dryer and dried the towels that were in the washer. I saved $20 by ordering from Part Select and not going through the local repair store, not to mention how much they would have charged to do what I did. I’m not a pro at fixing things but can hold my own. Thanks Part Select I will order again from you if I need a part!

dryer would make clunking noise and sometimes a scraping noise
I looked on the internet for instructions to take the dryer apart, took the parts out one at a time ,and replaced them.It was easy and it made the dryer quiet again.I could see the obvious wear on the parts.I was happy to save the money a new dryer would cost.

Loud squeaking noise
2 part repair. I replaced the front drum slide kit in about 20 minutes. It was better but still made lots of noise (was quiet for about 20 minutes then started back) so I ordered the rear drum bearing kit & a new belt. Replaced them when parts arrived. The video was great (the instructions with the parts were poor). However, my model had a circlip holding the bearing to the mount in the heating element & the drum did not come out until I removed the 3 torx screws in the drum & the bearing remained attached to the heating element. The new bearing kit was the one shown in the video & it all went back together easily but the belt was impossible to get on from the front. My friend helped & we removed the back access panel (had to remove the dryer cord to get the panel off). Belt was easily fitted & thus far (1/2 hour of use so far) the dryer is quiet.
