DDSR475GT0WW General Electric Dryer - Instructions

First I removed the 2 screws that hold the lid down. Then I pulled the lid off. Then I removed the 2 screws that hold the front of the dryer in place. Then I lifted the drum a little and pulled the front cabinet out a little so I could see the drum slides. I removed the bad drum slides and installed the new ones. I then put everything back together and turned on the dryer. The squeeky noise was gone.

I don't think this requires an explanation.

The website is so user friendly, I ordered additional parts I did not need at the moment.

I followed the directions from the previous post. It was much easier than described. I got the part, removed 4 screws, removed the top, pulled the front and replaced the part. It was all together again in 15 minutes. Dryer sounds great again! I'm so glad I didn't call a repair man!

Before I bought the new knobs, I put nail glue inside each knob to strengthen the knobs. It lasted for about 6 mos and I would have to do it again. Needless to say I got tired of the broken knobs, so I bought new ones.

We removed the top of the the dryer and then removed the front part. Then put the traps in place, put the other parts of the dryer back on, and turned the dryer back on. Just as simple as that. No extra fees.

The knob to start my dryer broke about a year age. I was using pliers to start the dryer. I was sure I would never find a replacement part and it was just a matter of time before the plier trick would break the start knob. I decided to look on line for a replacement knob sure that I wouldn't find one. Clicked on PartSelect, enter General Electric dryer and a bit more simple info and there was the part I needed. I ordered and replaced the front and rear bearings, including the slides that go on the front bearing. Most of this was un-necessary; replacing the slides would have been sufficient, and much easier to do. Two of the old slides were worn completely away.

The knob had broken off a few months ago. I didn't think to look for one on the internet. I finally googled the brand name and part number and your company came up. It had the picture of the part which I ordered immediately. It came in the mail really quickly. I was so excited when I received the knob. I took it out of the package and slipped it over the stem in less than a minute. It went on perfectly. Now I no longer need to use pliers to turn on the dryer. It looks great and I am no longer inconvenienced. I love the new knob and would do business with this company again.

I thought that the timer was broken but when I pulled the knob off, there was a slight crack in it so before I contemplated calling a service person, I ordered a new knob. Now it works just fine and turns with the usual 'clicks' that I wasn't hearing since it broke. For the $20 ( including S&H ) It was worth the try. Thanks for the website, very easy to use!

Took it out of the package. Slid in it in place, took less than two minutes.

Followed the Part Select video instructions which made the repair really easy!! Thanks for a job well done! ALSO.. the drum wobble was not caused by worn slides and felt. There are three screws holding the drum axle flange. Two of them fell out leaving the drum to flop about as it rotated. So we scavenged some screws from elsewhere on the dryer and problem solved. Once again.. thanks to Part Select for great instructional videos and great customer service ordering parts.
